About the site

The site is a peaceful base for couples, families, and solo travellers looking to explore the South of Devon, ideally positioned between countryside and coast, and just 15 minutes from Newton Abbot. It's also an ideal choice for walkers, cyclists, and hikers, located right on the outskirts of Dartmoor National Park. Take your pick from electric grass pitches suited for tents, or opt for electric hardstanding pitches designed for caravans, campervans, motorhomes, tents, and trailer tents. All pitches come with a 16 amp electric hook up. For a little extra comfort, choose one of the cosy camping pods which sleep up to four. Each pod includes a double bed, a double sofa/futon, heating, WiFi, electricity, and gas. Inside, you'll also find a TV, fridge, freezer, camper's kitchen, cooking equipment, toaster, and microwave. Please bring your own bedding, as it's not included. The site is surrounded by a variety of charming seaside towns, each with its unique attractions, including Teignmouth (30 minutes), Paignton (35 minutes), and Torquay (35 minutes). Onsite, guests can make use of a handy shop, launderette, and WiFi throughout their stay. Dogs are welcome onsite. BBQs are permitted provided they are raised off the ground. Sorry, no campfires.

For animal lovers, Pennywell Farm is just a ten minute drive away. This child friendly farm offers plenty of hands on fun, including feeding sessions, goat milking, egg collecting, and rides. Dartmoor National Park is also just ten minutes from the site, ideal for adventure seekers with its wealth of hiking, cycling, and walking routes.

Canonteign Falls is only 20 minutes away, home to breathtaking waterfalls, peaceful lakes, and stunning fern gardens. Historical days out can be had by exploring the 14th-century National Trust - Compton Castle, just 25 minutes away, with its medieval features and picturesque grounds.

Within a 30 minute drive, you'll find a wide range of coastal and cultural spots. Head to Paignton Zoo Environmental Park to see lions, tigers, giraffes, gorillas, snakes, and more. Or visit Powderham Castle and Torquay Museum for a dose of history and heritage. You're also within reach of Teignmouth Grand Pier and Paignton Pier, ideal for classic seaside fun.

A little further afield, under 35 minutes away, families can enjoy Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves with guided tours, activities, a gift shop, and a restaurant.
