Also, on select Saturdays over the season, there will be live bands and the site's famous Cider Saturdays where Oliver's Kitchen and Smokery cooks up a storm for everyone to enjoy with a cider or cold local beer from the Tasting Room. Choose from delicious paellas or apple smoked chicken. The site also hosts the annual World Nettle Eating Contest with hot food available and two fantastic bands for you to enjoy. Forgot the essentials? There's a small farm shop and raised fire pits available at each pitch, and wood is available to buy on site. Sorry, no dogs.

The season runs from April 1st just before the apple blossom begins until the 14th of September just before the site begins the cider apple harvest in earnest.

A note from the site themselves...

Here at the farm, we are all about family. Back in 2006, when Oliver and Penny Strong were still in the business of making metal sculptures and topiary, they settled with their family on a wildly beautiful cider orchard in West Dorset.

Initially, the orchard was planted for a long standing apple contract with Gaymers in Shepton Mallet. We soon ceased this as we began using more of the apples for our own products and Dorset Nectar Cider was born during the banking recession of 2008.

Since then, and thanks to the amazing efforts of all of our family and friends, Dorset Nectar Cider has gone from strength to strength. We are now very happy to welcome guests to stay with us, and we hope to welcome you soon, Ryan

Stayed here looking for something slightly different. The campsite was exactly what we were looking for. The owners were very welcoming and knowledgeable, not to mention the delectable cider. The pitches themselves were nicely spaced out in the orchards to give plenty of privacy.

Absolutely perfect

Can't think of anything negative about the site. Cider is probably the best I've ever tasted. The owners are really welcoming and friendly. The cider garden is stunning with the sculptures in the flower beds. And the tasting room is a comfortable and perfect place to enjoy a drink and a game of cards, when/if the weather takes a turn for the wet.
