About the site
Situated in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by picturesque countryside and wildlife, this site offers a peaceful adult-only base for exploring the Jurassic Coast.
Tents, trailer tents and small campervans are welcome on the site's 14 non electric grass and hardstanding pitches. The pitches each welcome up to three guests, varying from 12 feet to 18 feet wide.
If glamping is more your thing, the site offers two idyllic shepherd's huts, Otter's Nest and Badger's Retreat, perfect for couples. The huts enjoy beautiful views of the small fishing lake, great for bird watching with your cup of coffee in the morning.
Inside is a delightfully comfortable super king-size bed (bedding is not provided), two electric sockets and lighting. There is also a kitchenette equipped with a sink, a hob, fridge, kettle, crockery and utensils so you will have everything you need to cook up something tasty!
Otter's Nest has private toilet and shower facilities in huts nearby, and Badger's Retreat has its own ensuite toilet and shower. You will also have a private outdoor area surrounded by secure fencing, with your own firepit BBQ, perfect for roasting marshmallows!
Dogs are welcome to join you on holiday, including in the shepherd's huts.

Site facilities are shared between campers. These include two showers, two toilets and a washing up area. The shepherd's huts have their own private ensuites. There is an onsite small lake available for fishing.
The Five Bells Inn pub is just a five minute walk from site. The closest shop is Charmouth Stores, a ten minute drive away.

We welcome campers to come here to experience the simplicity and to be left alone to appreciate our lovely surroundings. As such, we do not intrude and leave campers alone to ensure everyone can enjoy some much-needed peace and quiet. We hope to welcome you soon, Tom

Lovely quiet campsite, basic but beautiful. Great if you enjoy the peace and quiet and we loved listening to all the birds in the morning.
Has a couple of toilets and showers and they are regularly cleaned.
Nice pub just a 5 min walk away.
We will definitely be returning as we enjoyed our night here.

Super site in lovely countryside. We only did an overnight stay but liked it a lot. Clean loo and shower good washing up facilities. Use of firebaskets, logs for sale. Small lake. We will come back again.

We loved this little campsite. Had everything we needed with no fuss. The pitches are spacious and the big open space in the middle is nice.
The location is perfect for exploring Lyme Regis and the neighbouring coastline.

FAQ
What time is check-in/out at Hobby Farm?
Check-in is from 12 noon until 8pm for camping and from 1:30pm until 8pm for glamping. You must leave your camping pitch by 12 noon on day of departure, or by 10am if you're glamping.
Is Hobby Farm dog friendly?
Up to two dogs are welcome to join you whether camping or glamping, provided they are kept on a lead whilst onsite and well-supervised.
How far from the beach is Hobby Farm?
The site enjoys direct access to the south coast, with a number of footpaths taking you straight from the site to Charmouth beach. The vibrant seaside village of Lyme Regis is also just over a ten minute drive away, or head slightly further afield to West Bay (7 miles).
Take in the breathtaking scenery at Golden Cap (2.4 miles), with spectacular views over Lyme Bay and, on a clear day, towards Dartmoor! Owned by the National Trust, don't miss a trek to Stonebarrow Hill here, with 25 miles of way-marked routes taking you around the estate.
Does Hobby Farm allow awnings, gazebos or pup tents?
Awnings and gazebos are permitted free of charge on the camping pitches. Pup tents are not permitted.
Does Hobby Farm allow BBQs and campfires?
Yes, the site allows both BBQs and campfires in fire pits. There is also firewood to purchase onsite.
Can I park near my pitch at Hobby Farm? Or Is there parking adjacent to the pitch?
Yes, you are more than welcome to park your vehicle next to your pitch.
Can I fish in the lake at Hobby Farm?
Yes, the site has a small fishing pond where guests can enjoy a relaxing day of fishing.

Things to do on site and in the Bridport area
Just ten minutes from the beautiful Jurrasic Coast, the site is ideally situated for days out at the beach. Some of the most popular nearby include Charmouth Beach (10 minutes), West Bay Beach Dorset (15 minutes) and Beer Beach (35 minutes).
Lyme Regis is also just ten minutes away, full of wonderful seaside attractions for you to explore. Dinosaurland Fossil Museum is full of fascinating exhibitions, from spectacular marine fossils to dinosaur models and animal skeletons. You can also head to the harbour and book yourself on one of the many boat trips, whether you're looking for a fishing expedition or a thrill-seeking rib ride.
For something a little different, head to Seaton (25 minutes) and enjoy a ride on the Seaton Tramway. This old-style mode of transport takes you through the Axe Valley alongside the River Axe, great for spotting wildlife and sitting back and admiring the scenery.
