We offer the perfect place for camping, in the heart of Dorset, close to the famous Jurassic Coast. We have a small working alpaca and cattle farm with woodland walks. There are no regimented pitches here; we offer a relaxed atmosphere with camp fires, star gazing and much needed quiet time, with the odd tank rumbling by or morning call from the gibbons next door at Monkey World.

We have 47 acres here at Longthorns Farm which produces hay and haylage from the fields. We also have a herd of Jersey cows along with a horse and chickens

As well as a lovely camping spot, Longthorns Farm is becoming increasingly well known for its alpacas. We have quite a number of them here now with some award winners amongst them. They are well known for being alert and are commonly used to protect chickens from foxes. We breed the alpacas and have lots of lovely little fluffy babies. We look forward to your visit so you can get to know them all better!

From the alpaca's wool, we produce a number of products and gifts, which are available in the reception shop.

We have been here for six years, however Longthorns Farm has a long history of farming and camping. In the near future we hope to have photographs up in The Parlour of 'historic Longthorns' for our guests to enjoy.

In the last couple of years, Longthorns Farm has also been hired for private use of weddings and events, with The Parlour and marquee available for small or large gatherings. Visitors enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the site, along with the glamping aspect.

Our aim for Longthorns Farm has been to recycle and reuse wherever possible, evidence of which you'll see around the site, and to respect nature.
