About the site


Nestled in the Nottinghamshire countryside, just outside Ashworth village, this site, set on an organic and biodynamic farm, offers a relaxing base for those looking to unwind. Families can enjoy introducing little ones to the friendly chickens or sheep, and slow mornings can be spent at the onsite café. Spend evenings at the fully licensed bar overlooking scenic views. Wander through the farm's plant nurseries and organic market to sample fresh produce, including honey from the onsite bees! There are 30 non electric grass pitches for tents, along with three non electric touring grass pitches suitable for campervans, motorhomes, and caravans. This site is a great base for walking and cycling enthusiasts. Shipley Country Park, a ten minute drive, offers miles of hiking trails, cycle paths, and even fishing spots. Nottingham (25 minutes) is home to the popular Wollaton Hall, Gardens and Deer Park, or enjoy sightseeing, shopping and dining in the city. Up to two dogs are welcome per pitch. BBQs are allowed if raised off the ground.

Guests have access to modern toilet and shower facilities as well as a washing up area.

The onsite café is open daily, serving hot food (including an all-day breakfast) from 8am until 3pm. From 3pm to 5pm, sweet treats are served alongside hot and cold drinks. Gluten-free and vegan options are available. The site's mini market is open from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm, and until 4pm on Sundays.

Explore the plant nursery, offering a range of plants, herbs, and flowers available for purchase. Logs and kindling are also for sale. Throughout the year, the site hosts seasonal events like the harvest festival, spooky forest walk, and carol singing.

There is a fully licensed bar onsite offering wines, beers, and ciders to enjoy. Alternatively, you can take a stroll to The Crown Inn (10 minutes) or The Gate Inn (15 minutes) for food and drinks. Additional essentials can be found at a Nisa Local, just a ten minute stroll from the site.

* Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.


Things to do on site and in the Cossall area

Nature lovers can enjoy the easily accessible walking trails from the site, including Bennerly Viaduct, 20 minutes away on foot. The Nutbrook Trail Local Nature Reserve and Straws Bridge Nature Reserve, are both a ten minute drive away and dog friendly.

National Trust - Kedleston Hall, located on the outskirts of Derby, is 35 minutes away, offering picturesque parkland and historic charm, or visit the Peak District, 40 minutes away.

History enthusiasts can visit Nottingham Castle in 25 minutes or explore the Elvaston Castle Country Park and its Gothic revival castle and lakes (25 minutes). Crich Tramway Village is 30 minutes away for a journey into the past.

Family days out can be spent at Matlock Farm Park (40 minutes), offering go-karting and animals to meet, or head to Drayton Manor Resort in 50 minutes for a fun-filled adventure.
