A note from the site themselves...

The pitches are well spaced out and there are pockets of pitches which make you feel like you are on a much smaller site. All the pitches are close to nature and the wonderful surrounding forest. Where ever you are on the site you can be in the forest within 2m of leaving your pitch.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesDec 2023

Site staff were extremely helpful, friendly and well organised. Even though I arrived after office open hours, the staff helped me to my pitch and provided all details needed with no hassle. Site is very well maintained and the facilities are excellent, with plenty enough for everyone. Location is perfect (I mean it's always going to be perfect, it's Sherwood Pines!) Would highly recommend to anyone!

Fantastic staff, make a great site even better!

Single Axle Caravan - Hardstanding PitchesDec 2023

We stayed at this site when the snow fell (forecast said a light covering, turned out to be a foot of the crispy white stuff!) This looked like a picture postcard in the forest setting, however not ideal for new caravanners like ourselves. Lesson learned, whatever the forecast says, assume the worst. That said, the staff at this site could not have been more helpful to us and other people that had been caught out by mother nature. All were out gritting, assisting vehicles to leave in any way they could, whilst being reassuring and making sure everyone was relaxed. They made it clear there was no rush to leave and they would rather people were safe than rush off site by the advertised time. Due to the site being quite secluded at the back end of the forest, and the internal roads being slippy, my car was not having it when we tried to pull our van to the main road. The staff were great, and even towed us with a tractor to a place that was safe to start our journey. I honestly can't thank them enough! The site itself is beautiful, surrounded by woodland with easy access to all the walks and activities at Sherwood Pines via a woodland trail that in itself is a lovely walk. I honestly cannot wait to go back here in good weather. Facilities are modern and clean and everything is conveniently located. My only worry is that as we continue on our caravanning journey, a lot of sites are going to struggle to live up to this one for us!

Amazing stay
