A note from the site themselves...

We, the Ridout family, have been at the farm since 1951, home to dairy, pigs and chickens. We pride ourselves on our pretty orchard and adjacent field perfect for camping with fantastic views across the countryside and many fine farm walks.

We love to spend our time wildlife watching. Here you'll spot badgers, rabbits and foxes, butterflies and birds - buzzards and skylarks. Plus, we're set in a lovely spot with minimal light pollution, so we see beautiful starry skies on clear nights!

Bell Tent - Bell TentAug 2022

We stayed here for 4 nights with our 2 children in a bell tent and it was so lovely. The tent itself had a comfortable bed, a table and chairs and sofa and looked really inviting. The view was lovely and it was nice and quiet. It was nice being able to interact with the animals and having walks on your doorstep. There was alot of things to do a short car journey away so was an ideal base. The food was amazing from the cafe, we had pizza on pizza night and it was really tasty and I loved the homemade coleslaw! The solar showers were so warm and very clean. The sky is so dark at night it was nice to lay and star gaze with the kids and have marshmallows on the firepit. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Gorgeous little campsite

Bell Tent - Bell TentAug 2022

What a delightful little campsite this was. A bit of a last minute book, so really happy they were able to accommodate. Dog friendly and a lovely little cafe that does pizza nights and amazing looking desserts (sadly I was too full from the pizza, though good excuse to return sometime). The staff were super friendly and it had all the facilities we needed. There looked to be a good number of activities for those with families too. Also a lovely walk up to the stone circle to watch the sunset. Thanks for a lovely stay 🙏🏽

Shepherd's Hut - Shepherd's HutAug 2022

I stayed in the Shepherds hut with my two boys for a quick break away. The farm is really lovely, tucked away down a country lane with the most beautiful views. We were lucky both nights to enjoy amazing sunsets. The shepherds hut is small, but really well laid out and equipped with a kettle, fan, fridge, crockery, towels and a really comfy bed. Outside there was a bbq, firepit and seating. Showers are hot and clean. There is a farm cafe on site which opens for breakfast each morning and serves lovely meals and coffee. They also do a pizza evening two nights per week (we weren't there for either night to try it). My boys loved the huge trampoline and giant connect four - there's also table tennis and a football table available. I'd really recommend this site and we'll defo go back again!
