About the site

Tucked away in a secluded 120 acre Somerset valley, this eco-friendly, adult only getaway offers a peaceful base just five minutes from Bruton. Owner-run for over 40 years, the site has just 30 spacious grass pitches, giving guests plenty of room to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside. Welcoming tents, trailer tents (up to 7m x 5m), campervans, single-axle caravans and motorhomes, with a selection of pitches offering an optional 10 amp electric hook up. Set beneath mature trees, beside the wildlife lake or overlooking wildflower meadows, each pitch enjoys the rural setting. For those arriving by bike or foot with a small tent, there are a few cyclist grass pitches available. Ideal for couples, solo travellers and anyone looking to escape the everyday buzz, explore walking trails starting straight from the site and spend the evening by your pitch with a fire bowl under some of Somerset's darkest skies, ideal for stargazing due to the lack of light pollution! Glastonbury and Mendip Hills are 35 minutes away for day trips, and an award-winning 17th-century pub is a 30 minute stroll away. Up to two dogs are welcome to join your stay, with plenty of dog friendly trails nearby. Non-disposable BBQs are allowed, provided they are raised off the grass. You can also rent a fire bowl kit, including a fire bowl, bags of logs and kindling.

Open from 19 June to 6 September.
