About the site

Enjoy a fun-filled getaway at this summer, eco campsite. Unwind at Bar Paradiso with breakfast and dinner options at weekends, sip craft beer and wine in the evening, and listen to live music on weekends. You can even book access to the wild spa with a sauna and hot tubs, plus daily yoga sessions! For tents, campervans and caravans, there are non electric grass pitches. Each allows up to six guests, with great views across to Chew Valley Lake. Solo travellers arriving by bike or foot can opt for the non electric backpacker pitches, too. The site also offers a selection of furnished and unfurnished bell tents. Furnished bell tents are equipped with proper metal frame beds, memory foam mattresses, Egyptian cotton bedding and towels. There are rugs and throws, along with bedside tables, battery powered lighting, fairy lights and a mirror. The luxury 5m bell tents allow up to four people with a double bed and two single beds. Those staying in the unfurnished bell tents will need to bring their own bedding and camping equipment. A more quirky glamping option is the vintage school bus! Sleeping two, it features a queen-sized bed, a living area with a kitchenette, and an ensuite toilet and shower. Dogs are welcome, with up to two dogs allowed per pitch and in the school bus. Please note that the bell tents are pet free. In the evening, guests can rent fire pits and BBQs, with charcoal and wood bundles for sale. You are also welcome to bring along your own, but do note that disposable BBQs are not permitted.

Facilities include compost toilets, six gas powered showers, electric sockets for hairdryers, washing up areas, a kettle, and a freezer for ice packs. BBQs, charcoal, fire pits and firewood are available to rent/buy at reception.

Guests can pay extra for use of the wild spa with a sauna, hot tubs, yoga classes and massages. For kids, there are play areas and craft activities, plus there is a walking and cycle path to the lake.

Bar Paradiso is the onsite restaurant/cafe with a bar in a converted bus, open Thursday to Sunday. Breakfast is available Friday to Sunday (9.30am to 11.30am) and pizza and BBQ food are available in the evenings from Thursday to Sunday (although this can vary). Music sessions are held throughout the weekend, with visiting DJs and live music sets. There are also occasional visiting food trucks.

Salt and Malt Chew Valley cafe/restaurant is also a ten minute walk away. For essentials, a Co-op is a five minute drive from the site.

Head to the wild spa and try out the sauna or hot tub before enjoying a massage or yoga class. Grab a drink and bite to eat at the bar while the kids play!

Really fun site, had such a good night with festival feels, drink, good food and music. View is second to none and there was lots of space. Toilets etc could do with a bit of care, but for a good time and camping fun, this is the place to be. Also, the set up of the bar etc are very well put together, loved the look of the place. Staff working super hard, nice people. Was also lovely to have people of all ages enjoying an evening together, young and old. Very welcoming, people were just able to be themselves for the night. Thanks for having us.

What a beautiful, peaceful and tranquil place. We loved it. Went early-August, a little after Valley Fest. There was so much space, and so peaceful. The views are beautiful over-looking the Chew Magna Lake, which is so close to walk to. Only down side is that there were only 2 showers in site, but we managed.
