About Dernwood Farm

Set on a working farm within 70 acres of ancient woodland, this family friendly site has space to let the children run free and for adults to unwind with a glass of their favourite tipple back by the tent. Pick up a delicious treat at the cafe, or something for your evening meal from the farm shop. For campers, there are 25 wild grass camping pitches set in a car free field, ensuring everyone's safety. Surrounded by wildlife these pitches are the perfect spot to unwind and unplug from everyday life. The walk from the car park is 400m or ten minutes, but rest assured there are trolleys and wheelbarrows to help you get your kit to your pitch! Or, there are three encampment pitches set within the woodlands around a fenced natural pond. Sycamore, Holly and Hazel each have their own fire pit with log seating, and a shared covered washing up area and loo. These pitches are also available for exclusive group hire. For glamping, there are three furnished bell tents set just off the camping field to catch the evening sun. Ash and Willow can be exclusively hired by a group, or are also private enough for individual use. Oak, is set in its own private woodland clearing. Inside each are sofa beds, a wood burning stove. Outside is an outdoor kitchen, a Dutch oven and seating. The shepherd's hut is set in a woodland clearing, equipped with a double sofa bed, wood burner and double gas hob. Two children can sleep in the upstairs 'loft' where the ceiling is blackboard for creating masterpieces! Outside is a hot water wet room, a fire pit, seating and hammock. For groups, the safari tent is a great option, sleeping up to eight. Equipped with a kitchen, dining table, chairs, a sofa and woodburner. Outside is a fire pit with a large double tripod, grill and Dutch Oven. There is a bathroom accessible from the back of the tent. Or, the waggon which has U-shaped seating that converts to a double bed, a kitchen area and a cosy wood burner. Outside is a hot tub, seating and a loo. Finally, the glamping cabin sleeps five, with a sofa bed and triple sleeper. Outside there is a hot tub, fire pit and seating. Within 40 minutes of Brighton, Tunbridge Wells and Eastbourne, all great spots for family days out. This site offers guests a relaxing getaway surrounded by nature, filled with bluebells in the spring, lush greenery in Summer and wild chestnuts in Autumn.
