Llwyn Bugeilydd Caravan and Camping Park is a family-run park with glorious views of Eryri (Snowdonia), within five minutes of Criccieth and the beach. The park offers level grass and hardstanding pitches for tents, tourers, motorhomes and campervans, all with electric. Onsite, there is free WiFi, a play park, picnic area, a dog field and a handy laundry room. Snowdonia National Park (Eryri) and Porthmadog are within a ten minute drive too!

About the site


This peaceful campsite is the perfect base for exploring the very best of North Wales. You'll be within easy reach of Eryri National Park and the stunning coastline of the Llŷn Peninsula, with its beautiful sandy beaches and amazing views. Whether you're pitching a tent or arriving in a tourer or campervan, there's plenty of space to settle in and relax. Choose from spacious grass pitches or hardstanding and grass pitches with 16 amp hook-ups. The lovely town of Criccieth is just a 20 minute stroll away, offering independent shops, a fantastic bakery, cosy pubs, great restaurants, and the iconic Criccieth Castle overlooking the sea. For something a little different, you can even enjoy a session at the town's beachside sauna, perfect after a day of exploring the coast. For those who love the outdoors, the site has direct access to public footpaths, including the Wales Coast Path, as well as local cycling routes. There's plenty to explore with a 30 minute drive too, from the historic castles of Harlech Castle and Caernarfon Castle to Portmeirion and the scenic journeys of the Welsh Highland Railway. Back on site, you'll find plenty of space to unwind, including a large play and picnic area set away from the pitches, ideal for relaxing while the kids run free. Fancy a cosy evening outdoors? BBQs are welcome (just keep them raised off the ground), and fire pits are available to hire along with logs, firelighters, and kindling. Well-behaved dogs are very welcome too, with a dedicated exercise field where they can stretch their legs. The campsite is conveniently located on the main bus route, with a stop just a few minutes' walk from the entrance. The service provides direct connections to Caernarfon, Pwllheli, and Porthmadog.

Now under new ownership, this campsite is a family venture very close to the hearts of its owners, who are a local farming family. They are excited to welcome guests to this peaceful, unspoilt corner of North Wales, creating a space full of care and attention.

The owners are passionate about keeping the site simple, tranquil, and unspoilt, giving visitors the chance to slow down and enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding area near Eryri National Park.

What they are most proud of is the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Seeing guests unwind, reconnect, and leave with happy memories is what makes the site truly special to them.

Things to do on site and in the Criccieth area

Perfectly placed between the mountains and the sea, this campsite is a great base for families, with beaches, coastal walks, and Eryri National Park adventures on your doorstep.

Just a short 20 minute stroll takes you into Criccieth, where you can enjoy local favourites like Tryc Coffi Gwenno, Cariad Gelato, Cadwaladers, Dylan's Restaurant, and Castle Fish and Chips, plus a relaxing beachside sauna.

Traeth Criccieth is around a 15 minute walk away. This lovely beach has a mix of sand and shingle, perfect for paddling, beach games, or simply relaxing with a picnic. Meanwhile, Criccieth has pubs, shops and places to grab an ice cream after a walk along the shore.

Sitting high on a rocky headland, the castle offers amazing views across the sea and the surrounding countryside. It's a great place to explore, take photos and learn a little local history.

For a unique beach experience, Black Rock Sands is only a 15 minute drive away. This wide, flat beach is famous for being drive-on, making it easy to set up for the day. Train lovers will have plenty to enjoy too. The Welsh Highland Heritage Railway is just a 15 minute drive from the site, offering a glimpse into the history of narrow-gauge railways.

For an unforgettable mountain adventure, head to the Snowdon Mountain Railway station, around 25 minutes away. From here, you can take a train up Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, and enjoy incredible views from the summit without needing to hike.
