Please read this information about Barcdy before you book:

Peace and quiet

Barcdy is a very quiet park where families and couples come to relax in peace and where a good night's sleep is taken for granted. Rowdiness or loud music is not acceptable here at any time of the day or night.

Groups

We do not accommodate groups of young people because we understand their need to have fun and our expectations regarding noise would be too much to expect of them. The only exceptions are Duke of Edinburgh Award students who are always tired and fall asleep very quickly!

Children

Children are welcome to bring bicycles with them as long as they take care around the park and do not ride near the toilet buildings.

Dogs

We made the difficult decision to exclude dogs from the touring caravan and camping areas mainly in the interest of cleanliness. The benefits have been greatly appreciated by our guests. In fairness, we cannot allow the dogs of day visitors to the park on these fields either, inside cars or otherwise. If any visitors happen to arrive with their dog, they may park their car, with dog inside, near Reception during the visit. Please ask us for guidance.

Ball games

Ball games should not be played anywhere except the football field. The football field should be vacated by 10:30pm each night. It is the parent's responsibility for their children. After 10:30pm we ask for noise to be at a minimum on the park

Speed limit

The speed limit on the park is 10 mph and it is paramount for everyone's safety and peace of mind that this is always observed.

Camp fires

Barbecues and Chimineas above the ground are allowed. Please do not burn the grass or picnic tables. No fires may be lit on the ground. NO CHINESE LATERNS are allowed on the park at anytime

Barcdy lies within the Snowdonia National Park, an area where Welsh is still very much the first language. Its people are sincere and down to earth and will warmly welcome you to this very special corner of Cymru - Wales.

There is so much to see and do here that you will want to return again and again. Nearby Harlech Castle is just one of many historic monuments, which are but a short drive away.

The area is known world-wide for its narrow gauge steam railways including The Ffestiniog, The Welsh Highland and The Talyllyn - and there are many other sites of special interest offering the visitor an insight into this country's very special heritage, including the world famous Italianate Village of Portmeirion which lies across the estuary from Barcdy.

There is an enormous choice of outdoor activities which can be enjoyed in the locality, from golf to fishing, sailing, ponytrekking and, of course, walking. However you choose to work up an appetite, there are many good pubs and excellent restaurants in the area offering a wide variety of cuisine to suit all palates and purses! At Barcdy you are perfectly placed to enjoy the very best of Wales.

There are many pleasant walks to be enjoyed in the hills immediately behind the park. Take a stroll up through the woods and fantastic views open out across mountains and sea. The Lleyn peninsula in one direction and the Snowdon range towering in the other. Walk a little further and you will discover the tranquil waters of the two Tecwyn lakes where you may fish, perhaps paint or read, or simply enjoy a picnic, sure in the knowledge that a short walk will take you back 'home' to your caravan or tent.

Whether you are seeking a quiet and relaxing holiday base amid wonderful scenery or on tour in the area and in need of a restful stopover, Barcdy is the ideal choice.
