With landscaped grounds overlooking the peaceful North Stratford Canal, Lady Lane Wharf offers a small eco-friendly stay, just 15 minutes to Solihull. It's a CAMC site with five electric hardstandings for tourers. Alongside the narrowboat moorings, boaters can access the canal for cruising with their own boats. The site offers a shop, countryside walks, and a cosy outdoor fireplace. A pub is a ten minute walk and Birmingham is within 25 minutes!

About the site

Set on a marina, this members-only site sits on the North Stratford Canal, in a rural and peaceful location within a 25 minute drive of the outskirts of Birmingham. It's a small, friendly spot on a 50-mile lock pound with landscaped, well-maintained grounds, connecting to Earlswood Lakes and ideal for fishing, boating and canal-side walks/cycles. Being the only carbon-neutral mooring business in the UK, the site is home to just five hardstanding pitches with 16 amp electric and water hook ups for caravans, campervans and motorhomes. Please note that the maximum unit length is 7.5m. Please note this site is for CAMC members only. Onsite, guests can enjoy countryside walks, including a ten minute stroll to a local pub serving cooked meals. You can also cosy up by the covered outdoor fireplace area with shutters, an ideal spot for evening BBQs. There's a Wharf shop onsite for coal and gas supplies too. If you have your own boat, you can take advantage of scenic canal cruising from urban Birmingham out into open countryside. Solihull is also a 15 minute drive away. Please note that access to the site is via a locked gate to which you'll be given a key. Dogs are more than welcome onsite! BBQs are permitted onsite. Sorry, campfires are not allowed here.

Onsite facilities include communal toilets and hot showers with underfloor heating, gold service private bathroom hire, accessible facilities, a launderette, washing up areas, and communal areas with a fireplace, BBQs, and picnic tables, as well as a maintained garden, overlooking the canal.

EV charging is available onsite, along with WiFi, and the Wharf Shop for coal and gas. It is open daily from 9am to 5pm.

The site is located on a marina of the Stratford Canal for mooring your boat and canal cruising (your own boat is required). There are also waterside utilities, including water, electric, diesel and pump out.

For dining out, The Red Lion (open daily) is a ten minute walk away offering classic pub meals, cask ales, and wines. Wave Cafe and Catering is also a 15 minute walk away for cooked breakfasts. There's a Tesco Express a five minute drive, for your snacks too.

A note from the site themselves...

We'd love to welcome you to our little corner of rural heaven close to Birmingham. It's so peaceful here, surrounded by farms with a soundtrack of birds, horses, and the quiet lapping of the canal as boats pass by. We've made the most of the outdoor space on our little site, with an outdoor fireplace "room", beautiful gardens, and well-maintained paths along the canal.

This location sits on a canal route that allows boaters to travel between Birmingham and rural areas with their own boats.

Beyond the site, countryside walks begin right from the doorstep, including leisurely strolls along the scenic North Stratford Canal, to The Red Lion local pub just ten minutes away, and on to Earlswood Lakes, 15 minutes away, ideal for fishing, sailing and wildlife spotting.

By car, you can also explore other nature-filled destinations with hiking and cycling trails, including Brueton Park (15 minutes), Swanshurst Park (15 minutes) and Lickey Hills Country Park (20 minutes).

For history lovers, National Trust Packwood House is a 15 minute drive away, offering insight into the Tudor era, while the popular National Trust Baddesley Clinton is just five minutes further.
