As the reviews say, The Cud Life is a welcoming and friendly small site. Book in for peace, quiet and a great location - walking distance from Harrogate and plenty of charming Yorkshire villages. Explore the gorgeous local area before returning to the peaceful site with lovely views.

About The Cud Life

This is as close to camping as it used to be as possible. A traditional site, with family values, great for meeting other like minded campers. Well spaced pitches offer the most amazing views across the farmland, the only sounds being those of wildlife and the farm's own cows. Most guests comment that they cannot believe this base is so close to the centre of Harrogate because they feel like they are in the middle of the countryside. You can walk to Harrogate in about 35 minutes or into the village of Killinghall in 10 minutes where there is a Tesco local open 7am to 11pm. Having the public footpath going directly through the farm, you can't get closer to start a walk in either direction. As The Cud Life is a small site, care is taken with the number of people rather than the number of pitches so that it's not overcrowded at any point.

Due to Coronavirus, the site are currently unable to accept tent bookings.

Facilities and amenities

Site facilities include a unisex toilet/shower block that works really well as families can shower together in the large units, saving time for everyone. There are also heated towel rails, a hairdryer, hair straighteners, soap etc.

In nearby Killinghall there are two pubs and a fish and chip shop.

A note from the site themselves...

We love our little campsite, so much so that when there is space we have been known to stay ourselves in our family campervan! It's lovely to be able to offer guests a peaceful stay amongst the Yorkshire countryside while also being so close to towns such as Harrogate. We look forward to welcoming you and hope you love it as much as we do.

A favourite walk from site is into the lovely village of Ripley with quaint shops, gallery, tea room, castle and grounds and of course some world famous ice cream!

If you're looking for the perfect thing to add to a relaxing day, there is fishing on site.

You'll find horse riding, swimming, Ripley Castle, and many pretty market towns in easy reach. Lightwater Valley Theme Park, home of Europe's longest roller coaster is a half hour away, so you can't hear the screams but you can definitely nip over and have all the fun!
