About Jean's Field

This relaxed site is set in a field of almost an acre, within the attractive village of Cracoe. Set in the stunning Yorkshire Dales, you will be surrounded by glorious walking and cycling country, with Grassington and Skipton both within a ten minute drive. There are just 18 grass pitches without electric onsite so it is never too busy. 15 of these are measure at 10m x 10m, which includes space for one parked car and are perfect for tents and trailer tents. There are also 3 backpacker pitches onsite for tents only, perfect for those arriving without a vehicle. Picturesque Wharfedale is an easy five minute drive or bike ride away with a chance to see the gorgeous Dales village of Burnsall and the majestic Bolton Abbey. For walkers, the Way of the Roses is a very popular option, or Malham National Park Visitor Centre is only 20 minutes away. Access is easy as the campsite is just off a main route into the Dales, so no need to take on miles of twisty lanes. It's set back too, giving you separation from the road. Be sure to also visit the local farm shop and pick up some fresh ingredients. Raised BBQs and enclosed campfires are permitted, so there is no better excuse to cook up a delicious feast! Dogs are also welcome to join you for your stay. Please note, there are no shower facilities onsite.

Jean's Field is open from 05/07 to 28/07 and 31/07 to 31/08.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesSep 2023

Booked very last minute and the host accommodated and recognised our vehicle on a late arrival. Simple instructions and a quiet field. Pub and café in the village. Would recommend booking in advance for the pub as we tried twice on the day to no luck!

Site's response

Thanks for the review John, glad you enjoyed your stay with us. The pub can be booked up, especially on busy weekends such as when you came (Grassington 1940s weekend), in which case you are right in what you say, it is best to call in (or ahead) and book.

Well situated campsite
