Bala Lake offers a great selection of watersports, with full facilities for hire and excellent instructors available on the shores. Options include kayaking, windsurfing, sailing, canoeing and more with half day taster sessions bookable alongside full day experiences.

Walks around the lake are perfect for dog walks and a selections of cafes, pubs and shops in the area welcome pets. Dogs can even ride on the Bala Lake Steam Railway. Book yourself a stay at one of these dog friendly campsites.

The walk around Bala Lake (around 14 miles) is popular and includes lovely views and good footpaths. You can also enjoy a less challenging walk and over a few miles and finish off the journey with the Bala Lake Railway or a bus ride.
