Scaldersitch Farms offers an exclusive collection of just five luxury glamping units, set across a meadow with views of the Peak District National Park and surrounded by nature. Stay toasty beside your wood-burning stove, relax in your superking bed or sit under the stars in your own-wood fired hot tub. Each accommodation also has its own private underfloor heated washroom. Previously awarded Visit Peak District Glamping Site of the Year.

About the site

These boutique styled tipis and yurts take glamping to a whole new level of comfort. All yurts and tipis have a wood-burning stove, wooden floors lined with sheepskin rugs and handmade beds made up with feather down duvets and crisp white cotton. You'll be treated to fluffy white towels, bathrobes and toiletries. You will also find tea and coffee making facilities (tipis also have a Nespresso machine), USB charging sockets and beautiful fairy lights. Just outside you have a wood-fired hot tub, prepared for your arrival, outdoor seating and meandering stone paths which lead you around the site and to the excellent facilities. Every reservation includes a locally sourced breakfast hamper from great local suppliers for you to enjoy.

Site facilities include private luxurious washrooms set within a converted dairy, with flushing toilets and rainfall showers, alongside underfloor heating. There is also the Cartshed Barn kitchen with full self catering facilities and the Rustic Wellness Barn which provides wellness treatments.

There are three pubs within a 20 minute walk and Hartington village provides shops and amenities. Superfast Starlink WiFi is provided across the site

Hen or stag groups are allowed but only if booking the whole site on an exclusive hire basis, perfect for a quiet country hen weekend in the great outdoors. The site can create a fabulous festival-style theme with 'Henfest' or 'Glasthenbury' signage and festival flags.

Things to do on site and in the Buxton area

There is so much to do in the area it is difficult to know where to start, from exploring the scenery to historic market towns and country houses. You might prefer just to take it easy instead and a range of pampering massage treatments can be enjoyed right in your yurt.

The location offers some of the area's prettiest walking routes from the farm gate so get out there and start exploring the Peaks and famous Derbyshire Dales. Guests on two wheels are well catered for too, with cycling trails such as the Manifold Trail, Tissington Trail and Monsal Trail.
