A note from the site themselves...
When our 3 boys were younger, we used to take them on camping adventures. We enjoyed the back to basic sites that offered a break from modern technology and organised activities.
Give the kids open space and a ball or a bike and they would entertain themselves for hours! Sitting around a fire pit in the evenings gave opportunities to chat, tell stories, play games and relax together, and cooking simple meals on a gas stove or BBQ was something we could all do together.
So when we opened our little campsite in 2009 on our working dairy farm, we decided we would keep things simple. A basic, but clean toilet block and shower room, spacious pitches and stunning views! We look after the site ourselves, and enjoy talking to our campers in the evenings, offering handy hints on places to eat or visit, or chatting about farming life!
Many campsites in the local area have fantastic, full-on facilities, which is great if that's what you are after - however, this is often reflected in the price. Our facilities may be modest, but so are our prices!
