About the site

This peaceful 42 pitch touring and glamping site nestled on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park is a great choice for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. All the pitches are hardstanding with 16 amp electric hook up, with most of them being serviced hardstanding pitches with an on pitch tap and grey waste water drain. Both pitch types are suitable for caravans, campervans and motorhomes up to 9m, with many pitches separated by hornbeam hedging for extra privacy. Dogs are welcome on the touring pitches only with a maximum of two per pitch. There is even a spacious enclosed dog exercise area where your four-legged companions can enjoy some off-lead freedom. The local village play area and seasonal heated outdoor pool in Ingleton village is also just a 15 minute walk away, perfect for keeping the children entertained. BBQs are also welcome, as long as they are raised off the ground. However, please note that campfires are not permitted. Complimentary site wide WiFi is included. The three luxury studio glamping lodges enjoy great views and their own individual hot tub, sleeping up to two adults in a king-sized bed with luxury bedding, towels and robes provided. Each lodge is fully heated and insulated, and parking is adjacent to each lodge. The spacious open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, fridge, freezer, ceramic hob, coffee machine, cooking utensils and crockery. The living room is complete with a sofa and chair, along with a smart TV, so you can feel at home and still watch your favourite shows. The lodges have an ensuite shower room with a rainfall shower, toilet and vanity sink. The lodges are pet free and adult only. Outside on your terrace, you'll find stunning views along with a BBQ and pizza oven, outdoor dining table and chairs and your own private hot tub, perfect for admiring the starry night sky! This is a great stop for tourers looking to park up and explore, or glampers looking for a little extra luxury. Please ensure the site has your vehicle registration number, as an ANPR barrier is in place to access the site and lodges.

A note from the site themselves...

Having started off as a five pitch touring site, we're really proud of how much we've grown! During our closed months, we kept making improvements and even designed and built our glamping lodges, and guests tell us what we are doing is great!

We love sharing our location and it's great being able to walk off the site to shops, bars, cafes and the famous Waterfalls Trail. We have a small sheep farm too, so the sheep and lambs in the pastures surrounding the site are ours.

Our daughter Ella keeps a farm blog for guests to enjoy. It's also lovely enjoying the seasons around the farm and site, with the support of the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust in 2007, we planted over 8000 trees on the land around the site. They are now maturing, and the wildlife, including Roe deer, have now made it their habitat too.

VW-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding PitchesOct 2025

The camp site itself was very clean, the toilets and shower rooms were immaculate! Apart from dealing with gale force winds and torrential rain - the stay was great! Easy access to Ingleton waterfalls and the local village - spot on!

Excellent as always

Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding PitchesOct 2025

An immaculately maintained site in a beautiful location. Facilities were modern, clean and first class. Short walk (20 mins) into Ingleton and the charming hamlet of Thornton in Lonsdale just 10 mins walk with a lovely church and pub. Went with my son for a father/son caravan weekend away. We had a great time doing the Ingleton waterfall walk. Only slight issue was you could hear the busy A65 which is a few hundred yards away, but it wasn't really an issue by the time we went to bed as it quiets right down and was well hidden away behind trees. Would definitely return again.

Things to do on site and in the Ingleton area

Walkers will enjoy the challenging Three Peaks Walk, 24.5 miles at once or a peak each day for three days. It's your choice! Whernside is the highest at 736m, followed by Ingleborough at 723m, and Pen-y-Ghent at 694m.

There are plenty of other strolls and hikes locally, too. The nearest valley is Kingsdale, from which you can access Whernside on a long circular walk returning via Swales Moor, or the shorter Kingsdale circuit (10 minutes), which takes in the fantastic limestone scenery with its 'pots' and caves.

A more strenuous walk would be stepping over into Lancashire, taking in Gragareth, one of the highest mountains in the area.

The Pennine Bridleway-Yorkshire Dales section can be accessed at Clapham (15 minutes) along a quiet B road. There is also a local trail known as The Crummock Dale Dabs Mountain Bike route from there, while Ingleton is a great base for caving, abseiling, climbing, and other adventure sports.

Around half an hour away, Hawes offers a tour of the Wensleydale Cheese Factory, the cheese that Wallace and Gromit made famous.

The market towns of Kirkby Lonsdale (6m) and Settle (12m) can also be reached by the local bus service operated by a hail and ride service close to the site entrance.

Other local attractions include:

  • Ingleton Waterfalls Trail (5 minutes)
  • White Scar Cave (10 minutes)
  • Inglebrough Cave (15 minutes)
  • Ribblehead Viaduct (15 minutes)
  • Hawes (30 minutes)
  • Dent (30 minutes)
