About the site


This family friendly touring park enjoys a peaceful countryside setting just outside the city, making it an excellent base for exploring York and the surrounding area. With quick access to the A64, it's ideal for touring North Yorkshire, while York's historic attractions are only ten minutes away by car. Touring guests are welcome on electric hardstanding pitches measuring 7m x 13m. Each pitch is surrounded by grass and includes a 10 amp electric hook-up and water connection. For added convenience, the fully serviced hardstanding pitches measure 9m x 13m and include 10 amp electric, fresh water and grey waste connections. Everything you need is close at hand, with Vangarde Shopping Park only five minutes away. Here you'll find supermarkets, high street shops and a great selection of places to eat, while the park itself offers modern facilities and a children's play area for younger guests. Dogs are very welcome, with up to four allowed per pitch. An enclosed exercise field gives four-legged friends plenty of room to stretch their legs before heading off to explore the many nearby walking routes. Open fires are not permitted. Raised BBQs are welcome, provided they are kept safely off the ground and are not used as open fires once cooking has finished.

Facilities include male, female and unisex/family washrooms with full height showers, wash basins and toilets, and there is also an outdoor washing up area. A laundry room includes a coin-operated washing machine, tumble dryer and local information. For kids, there is a play park with a climbing frame and swings. A dog exercise field is available too.

Vangarde Shopping Park is a five minute drive away with Marks and Spencer, a Sainsbury's and Asda, along with multiple food options including Prezzo and Nando's. Toby Carvery Hopgrove is also a 15 minute walk away.

Bookings and Payments - full payment is required at the time of booking and reservations are not confirmed until payment is received. Cancellations are subject to a £25 admin fee.

No arrival until 1pm on the day of arrival. Please advise us in advance of any arrival which will be after 6pm.

On departure, sites to be vacated by 12 noon unless agreed prior to departure date.

Group bookings - No more than 3 pitches per group. If found on arrival to have made individual booking and then form a group, you may be asked to leave the park.

Minimum Stays - minimum of 1 night mid-week, 2 nights weekends and 3 nights across Bank and Public Holidays.

Fires/BBQs - No open fires of any kind are permitted. Barbecues are permitted, but must not be turned into an open fire after use and must be kept off the ground.

Please note dogs to be kept on a lead and closely supervised at all times whilst on site and not to be left unattended. Please pick up after them using the allocated dog waste bins.

No commercial vehicles allowed.

No loud music is to be played at anytime that may cause a nuisance to the other occupiers on the site. No unnecessary noise between 11pm and 8am.

No fireworks to be set off on any part of the site.

No Chinese candle parachutes or similar devices allowed.

No car or caravan washing on the site.

Children to be kept under close supervision at all times.

All rubbish to be placed in the bins provided and recycling in the correct boxes.

Behaviour - Whilst on the park please respect other guests and their property.

The owner reserves the right to refuse entry, or eject from the site any person causing a nuisance or disturbance to the Proprietor or other clients on the site.

Beechwood Caravan Park York accepts no responsibility or liability for loss or damage to cars, caravans and any such vehicles left on the premises.

Welcome to our family-run caravan site. We're delighted you're considering staying with us and hope you'll enjoy our little corner of the countryside. Our site is designed to provide a peaceful, relaxing escape while being conveniently located just a short drive from the historic city of York.

Our pitches are well spaced out, giving you plenty of room to unwind and enjoy your stay in comfort. Families are welcome, and younger guests can enjoy our small play area, while our four-legged visitors have their own secure area where they can run and play off the lead. We know that for many people, dogs are part of the family, so we're pleased to offer a space where they can enjoy their holiday too.

Things to do on site and in the York area

Just ten minutes from the park, the Yorkshire Air Museum and Allied Air Forces Memorial is located on a former Second World War bomber station. The museum is home to a great collection of military and civilian aircraft, historic vehicles and interactive exhibits.

The historic city of York is only a ten minute drive away and is packed with attractions, shops and centuries of history. One of its most popular attractions is the JORVIK Viking Centre. Built on the site of a major archaeological excavation, the attraction takes visitors on an immersive journey through Viking-age York.

Railway enthusiasts won't want to miss the National Railway Museum York (20 minutes). Home to one of the world's greatest collections of historic trains and railway memorabilia, the museum showcases everything from royal carriages to record-breaking locomotives.
