Venus is an adult only, small site set in the Yorkshire countryside and located just off the A1. This peaceful, eco friendly site is perfectly located, with easy access to Thirsk, Ripon and Harrogate, as well as the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales. Tents, campervans and caravans can choose a grass pitch with or without electric, or park your caravan or motorhome on a fully serviced hardstanding pitch, all enjoying countryside views.
About the site
Owned by Sarah and Stan Murray and enjoying a secluded countryside location, Venus is a peaceful site - perfect for an overnight stopover or countryside getaway. Choose from electric or non electric grass pitches, suitable for tents, trailer tents, roof tents, campervans and caravans. There are also hardstanding pitches, all fully serviced with 16 amp electric, water and grey waste disposal. Each pitch is clearly marked with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the countryside views. Don't forget your four legged friends! Pets are welcome with responsible owners and there are lots of options for local walks and dog walks off site, plus there's a designated dog walking area close by. Sorry, BBQs are not allowed. Please note that the site does not accept families or groups of four or more people together.
All pitches are open from April, with grass pitches closing in September and hardstanding pitches closing in November.

Site rules and policies
1st main rule - we are an easygoing campsite, please be honest when booking.
Arrivals after 1pm . Departure by 11am.
dogs should be kept on leads at all times and exercised off site.
BBQs welcome in the rally field and on hardstanding please use breeze blocks in the field to raise foil BBQ.
Dogs welcome, one included in the pitch price. No breeds under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
Please respect other campers regarding noise levels after 10pm.
Min 3 night stay on bank holiday weekends for fully serviced and grass electric pitches.
Please note Steel pegs required on fully serviced pitches.
No commercial vehicles without prior consent
No generators aloud at all
Only breathable ground sheets aloud on grass pitches
