About the site

Enjoy great views in this glorious location. Located on the outskirts of Snowdonia National Park (Eryri), a 30 minute drive from the mountain summit Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), the site is surrounded by wonderful walking routes with many friendly onsite animals to meet too! There are a range of grass and hardstanding pitches on offer, each allowing up to six guests. All of the pitches include a 6 amp electric and measure 6m x 4m, you just have to choose between grass and hardstanding, and the regular or large pitches. For those who want to leave the tent pegs at home, enjoy a stay in one of the site's cosy camping pods. The pods come unfurnished, so you still need to bring along the essentials like beds, bedding and cooking equipment. They feature double glazing, insulation, electric, heating and lighting. Outside is a picnic table, BBQ and seating. The site is also within easy reach of a great range of attractions, including Caernarfon Castle, only a 15 minute drive away. The Llanberis Lake Railway and National Slate Museum are also only 20 minutes away! If you want to enjoy a spot of al fresco cooking, the site allows raised BBQs (not disposable) and there are fire baskets available for toasting marshmallows. All of the pitches and pods are dog friendly, so up to two canine companions can join you for your stay. Please note, access to this site is via a narrow lane with few passing spots, so it may not be suitable for larger tourers.

Pods are open from 20th March until 2nd November, camping and touring is available from 27th March. Pitches from £32/night for 2 people.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesSep 2025

We arrived early evening and the campsite was fairly quiet. It's set in beautiful surroundings and sitting outside in the sunshine looking at the view was perfect. Lots of walks around and the local pub had to be visited! Everyone we met, from workers to other guests were super friendly. We would definitely come back and recommend to friends.

Worth the narrow road

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesSep 2025

Once you get to the campsite the view is beautiful. Well organised and set out this campsite has everything! Clearly a popular destination over weekends but well spaced. Loved hearing the sheep bleeding as we woke up.

A note from the site themselves...

Helen and I (Len) have been running the farm and campsite since 2010. The farm has been in Helen's family since the 1820s so we decided to carry on the tradition, giving up our former lives and becoming farmers and campsite owners.

We have brought about huge changes in both businesses. On the farm we have focused on becoming sustainable and taking every opportunity to reduce our carbon footprint, we have diversified into exotic mushrooms, micro greens and other salad and vegetable crops, changed our grazing techniques for our sheep, eliminated fertilizers and introduced hydro and solar electricity generation.

On the campsite, we've made efforts to upgrade everything, including turning an old cow shed in the heart of the farm yard into excellent accommodation! Having said this we are a small campsite, where we have tried to continually develop a family feel for our visitors. We are happy to show our animals and at times allow people to get really close to them.

We are relatively remote yet at the same time close to many attractions including the iconic Mount Snowdon and sandy beaches. But sometimes it's nice just to stop and look at the amazing scenery, breath the thick clean air, and listen to nothing but the sounds of birds, animals and the nearby streams. Peace and tranquillity for a few moments.
