About the site
A small, family friendly campsite in the picturesque Kent countryside, situated just outside the medieval town of Sandwich (only a five-minute drive away). With only three pitches and a bell tent, the site ensures a personal and friendly service from the owners who live onsite.
As a working farm, the site is home to a variety of animals, many of which are rescues, including sheep, horses, ducks and goats. Kids (and adults!) can come and help with the morning feeds, just ask a member of the team onsite.
The site is spread across two fields with both safely enclosed by fencing so that the site is safe for families.
Tents, micro and small campervans are accepted, up to transit size. However, towing caravans and large motorhomes are not, due to the width restriction of 7ft through the access gate. Please note, the site does not provide chemical waste disposal or electric hook up.
If you don't own a tent, there's also the option of an unfurnished bell tent (camping table and lights provided). It's a great way to save the hassle of pitching up. Just don't forget the rest of your camping gear!
While staying, start your morning with free-range eggs freshly laid by the chickens and ducks. You might even find some homemade jams and marmalades to enhance your breakfast when available. The site also has you covered with complimentary tea, coffee, and milk for your hot beverages.
Campfires are a huge part of the site and are enjoyed by many campers. If you crave the cosiness of a roaring fire, you can rent a firepit, and logs are available for purchase (campers can bring their wood, but this needs to be seasoned so as not to produce lots of smoke).
Campers can bring their own fire pits and BBQs, but these must be raised off the ground. Kindling is provided for free, and firelighter/matches are also available.
Facilities include a composting toilet, a shower shack equipped with running hot-water camping shower, running cold-water washing up station and drinking water station. There's also a communal fridge and freezer, a gazebo for shelter as well as a refreshments hut with hot water and complimentary tea, coffee and milk.
There are charging points for phones and electrical devices available.
It is just a five minute drive to the village shop at Eastry and The Five Bells pub.
A note from the site themselves...
We wanted to share the peace and beauty of where we live with others - we absolutely love living here surrounded by fields and nature.
We've always camped and have a real passion for the outdoors, nature and preserving the environment. So, we thought, what better way than to combine our passions and open a campsite!
It's very important to us to make the site as environmentally friendly as possible, we recycle/reclaim/salvage all of the materials we use on the farm to ensure nothing goes to waste. We're really proud that our site does not have a negative effect on the land or local nature!
The farm has a huge variety of nature to see and enjoy - red kites, kestrels, badgers, owls, woodpeckers, swallows, butterflies, bees and, of course, swifts!
We believe in personal, friendly service and enjoy meeting people from around the UK and Europe. We look forward to welcoming you soon,
Karen

Would recommend! We stayed 2 nights and loved it.
Toilet and shower both the cleanest we've ever had on a site. Our boys got to feed the sheep, which they loved. Some nice quiet walks nearby and lots of fruit to pick.
Small, quiet site with friendly, helpful owners. We can't wait to return next year. Firepits only £5 for the stay so very well priced. Duck and chicken eggs available to buy, again really cheap. Best site we've been to so far - highly recommend it!

I would definitely recommend Swift Farm Camping to anybody. It's in a lovely location, very peaceful and quiet. Lovely sunsets, ample space and nice facilities. Even laying on tea and coffee and a hot urn and also a fridge, which you are welcome to use.
A lovely couple running it, couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. I went with my son who loved it, as did I. I highly recommend 👌
