About Howgill Lodge

Located in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Howgill Lodge is the ideal place for a holiday to remember. Imagine green rolling hills dotted with traditional stone barns and sheep grazing in the sunshine. Although in a completely rural setting, you'll be close to some charming areas including Bolton Abbey, Burnsall, Grassington, Pateley Bridge and Skipton and only a short journey from the buzz of York, Harrogate and Leeds. For tourers and campers, the park is terraced to give privacy and clear views right over the traditional Yorkshire countryside. The pitches are level and whether you're in a caravan or a tent, you have the option of an electric hookup. Each pitch has its own picnic table and there is plenty of space for kids to play, including a large woodland area where they can explore for hours. No camping trip is complete without toasting marshmallows around the fire pit, which are available to hire from reception. They even come with kindling and logs. For an even more comfortable holiday there are luxury timber lodges equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Including a private patio with wood fired hot tub, fire pit with pizza oven and a picnic table. These lodges have been renovated by interior designer, Jo Bee, who has just won the Northern Design Awards for the hotel design category! Medium Tent - Large Non Electric Grass PitchesApr 2023

Howgill Lodge is a 'quiet' site with a mixture of tent pitches and caravan/camper hook-ups. There are a number of very clean and well resourced toilet/shower blocks, and laundry facilities too. The staff are very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. I would recommend Howgill to people who are looking for a pleasant base from which explore the Yorkshire Dales.

Beautiful site set in the gorgeous Yorkshire countryside. The site is well kept with excellent facilities. Showers and toilets are very clean and tidy. The little shop is good for emergencies and also serves coffee and pastries. All the staff we saw were helpful and friendly. The views are fantastic
