About the site

Located in the valley of Upper Nidderdale, this family and dog friendly touring park is a great, peaceful base for walkers and cyclists, with the Nidderdale Way running right by the site. The market town of Pateley Bridge is a 25 minute riverside walk along the River Nidd and Foster Beck, where you can visit the oldest sweet shop in the world! Park up on a range of hardstanding gravel pitches for campervans, touring caravans and motorhomes. Each pitch has a 16 amp hook up, water, and TV aerials, with some also fully serviced. Seasonal pitches and static caravans are available too. The Yorkshire Dales are a 30 minute drive away for those wanting to explore further afield, with plenty of walking routes, villages and countryside to discover. Up to two four-legged friends are welcome to join your stay, with two dog walking fields to choose from, including one off-lead, plus a dog wash for muddy paws. BBQs are allowed as long as they are raised off the ground. Open fires are not permitted.

Guests have access to toilet and shower rooms with hot water, sinks, mirrors and hairdryers. There is also an outdoor sheltered washing up area and a coin-operated laundry room with a washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities (open 24 hours). WiFi is available across the site.

The reception has a small, well-stocked shop selling everyday essentials, including bread, eggs, sweet treats, toiletries and more. There is also a library and information area.

Above the touring field here is a large dog walking area and a dedicated on-lead walking field. A dog wash is available outside, too.

For additional supplies, Spar and Kendalls Farm Butchers are a five minute drive away. The Bridge Inn is a ten minute stroll away for a drink or bite to eat.

Site rules and policies

* Check-in is available from 1pm until 6:30pm. Please advise the site if you are delayed.

* Check out is by 11am on your last day.

* Dogs must be kept on a lead and supervised at all times. The off-lead dog walk is above the touring field. Breeds and crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act are not permitted.

* Dogs are not allowed in the facilities. There is a dedicated hook outside.

* BBQs must be 30cm off the ground. Please do not use stones from the wall or throw disposable BBQ's in the bin.

* Awnings must not extend past the front or rear of the caravan. Gazebos or pup tents are not accepted.

* Please keep the outer door to the shower block closed at all times. Do not alter the thermostatic.

* There is a quiet policy from 10pm until 8am.

* Ball games are permitted in the designated fields located in the top dog walking field only.

* Washing lines must not be used on the park.

* There is a strict 10mph speed limit.

* Please let the site know if you have day visitors.

Things to do on site and in the Harrogate area

Pateley Bridge is the start and end point for the Nidderdale Way, offering 53 miles of walking and cycling routes. It's just a five minute drive or 25 minute walk from the site, with its historic sweet shop and art and design museums.

There are plenty of castles nearby too, including Ripley Castle, around 25 minutes away, with its landscaped gardens, and Skipton Castle, just 40 minutes away.

For walks and fresh air, Brimham Rocks is a 15 minute drive away, while the Yorkshire Dales are 30 minutes away for scenic trails, villages and plenty of countryside to explore.

Families can also head to Lightwater Valley Family Adventure Park, 35 minutes away, for a fun-filled day of rides and attractions!
