Camping Caradon Touring Park is a family friendly site set ten minutes from Polperro Beach. This site offers a range of pitches from non electric camping to fully serviced hardstanding. There are dedicated games rooms including table tennis, darts and pool alongside a bar. Ideally located by the Cornish seaside you can explore via the South West Coast Path or spend the day at Talland Bay investigating rock pools, both just five minutes from site.

About the site

This site is ideal for exploring South Cornwall whilst having plenty onsite to keep everyone entertained. You can enjoy the local area, from a day at Polperro Beach (5 minutes), and then come back to relax onsite at the bar and restaurant. The site offers six small non electric grass pitches exclusively for small tents. There are three further small grass pitches exclusively for small tents but with 16 amp electric hook ups. There are three medium grass pitches measuring 6m x 8m and five large grass pitches measuring 7m x 8m suitable for tents, roof tents, trailer tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes. Both with 16 amp electric hook ups. If you have a large tent, then there are five XL electric grass pitches with 16 amp electric hook up for tents only. The site offers 24 XL electric grass pitches measuring 8m x 11m with 16 amp electric hookup suitable for tents, trailer tents, roof tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes. The site offers medium hardstanding pitches measuring 6m x 8m, seven large hardstanding pitches measuring 7m x 8m, and 14 XL hardstanding pitches measuring 8m x 11m with 16 amp electric hook ups. Suitable for trailer tents, roof tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes. For those with larger units, there are two XXL hardstanding pitches measuring 8m x 16m with 16 amp electric hook up. Suitable for trailer tents, roof tents, campervans, caravans, motorhomes and RVs. There are four fully serviced grass pitches and four fully serviced hardstanding pitches. Both measuring 8m x 11m with 16 amp electric hook up, water and grey waste. Suitable for tents, trailer tents, roof tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes. The area offers great beaches, rockpooling, boat trips and plenty of shops and eating establishments to explore. With the famous Eden Project just a 30 minute drive away, the West Coast is within 45 minute drive. The bus stop in the site entrance is ideal for visiting Looe or further afield, perfect for those with motorhomes for car free days out. Dogs are welcome, with up to four per pitch. BBQs are allowed but must be raised off the ground. Open fires are not permitted at all.

Onsite facilities included a toilet and hot shower with no limit block with separate men's and women's as well as two accessible family rooms. There are hair dryers (20p) in the women's and a shaver point in the men's. Guests will also have use of a laundry room with two washing machines and two dryers, £4 a wash. There is also a playground suitable for children between two and 11 years of age.

There is a sheltered washing up area and a small shop based in the reception area. There is an onsite bar and restaurant called Lannie's that serves local ciders as well as other draught beers and spirits. Connecting to the bar is a family room that has games, darts, table tennis, a TV, an Xbox 360, a pool table (£1) and a selection of toys for younger children.

Open Wednesday to Sunday from Easter to the end of September, from 6pm to close. There is also a separate games room with a pool table (£1) foosball table (50p) and PS2 to use for free when you can bring your own games or provide your own. There is free WiFi available onsite.

A conveniently located bus stop at the site entrance makes this a great base for exploring the local area. A five minute drive takes you into Pelynt with a SPAR convenience store as well as a village pub, the Jubilee Inn.

A note from the site themselves...

The site is set in lush parkland and is relaxing, calming and spacious. Ideally situated between Looe and Polperro and accessible by Bus, so you can leave the car and save on parking!

A bright and friendly Bar and Clubhouse that offers really good food and reasonable prices. We serve a range of dishes, ranging from really good, authentic curries to Pizza, Pasta and traditional home cooked Fish and Chips, Steak Pie and Gammon.

Our passion is to provide you with superbly clean, unlimited hot showers and toilet facilities. We also want you to feel safe, well looked after and are very mindful of providing you with excellent, affordable food and drink. We want you to come back, and therefore, nothing is too much trouble for the team at Camping Caradon.

Things to do on site and in the Looe area

If you are looking to stick around the site, you can enjoy the games room. Open during the day from Easter to the end of September, there is a pool table (£1), a foosball table (50p) and a PS2 free to use where you can bring your own games or the ones provided.

There are classic pub games in the oniste bar and darts, table tennis, a TV, an Xbox 360, a pool table (£1) and a selection of toys for younger children in the adjacent family room.

Talland Bay is just a five minute drive from the site and sits in an AONB. It has views of unspoilt coastlines, rock pools to explore, and the South West Coast Path passes through it. You also have Polperro Beach and Looe Beach, both ten minutes away.

The Eden Project is a great family friendly option for a day out. Only 30 minutes from the site, you can take in domes, enjoy the outside play areas and stop by one of the many cafes for a bite to eat.
