About the site
This peaceful site is ideally located, set a ten minute drive from the scenic Quantock Hills. Whether you're an angler or not, everyone can enjoy camping beside the lakes onsite. Here you can relax and unwind, plus explore the many fascinating areas this part of Somerset has to offer. It's perfect for families and couples, groups of friends and anglers, and people who just want to escape and have a peaceful holiday. The site has three beautiful lakes to enjoy. They've also won 'Fishing Holiday Specialists of the Year' at the South West Prestige Awards! Campers will have access to non electric grass pitches for tents as well as optional electric options. There are also electric grass tent or campervan pitches equipped with a 16 amp hook up. Please note that all pitches measure 8m x 8m. You'll find a set of four cosy glamping pods to try, all with TVs, electric, a kettle and crockery. There are three family pods which sleep four with a double bed and two foldaway single beds, or the Alder glamping pod is perfect for two with a double bed. Please bring your own bedding. Stylish Lotus Belle tents are also onsite, sleeping two or four with a double bed, two single beds with a memory foam mattress (bedding is provided) and power sockets. The interior is also equipped with a kettle, crocker, cutlery, and a handy BBQ kit. Outside, you can enjoy a BBQ and a bench area. If you fancy giving fishing a go, you can hire equipment from the site - it could even be the start of a new hobby! Dogs are welcome, and there is even a dedicated shower for muddy paws!
The site is open from 1st February until 2nd December with the exception of bell tents which are available from May to September. Pitches from £21/night for 2 people.

Yes, there are three fishing lakes at Burton Springs Holidays - the Kingfisher lake is well stocked with approximately 50 catfish weighing from 13lbs up to 80lbs as well as tench, roach and carp up to 27lbs. Alder Pool is a mixed coarse fishing lake (ideal for matches), and is stocked with tench, carp, crucian carp, bream, perch, roach and rudd, while the Specimen Carp Lake contains carp weighing up to 30lbs.
Fishing equipment is also available in the shop onsite, including bait, tackle, pellets and more. There is an extra charge to fish and this is payable on arrival.
Overnight fishing is allowed with consent from the owners at the Specimen Carp Lake.
The closest lake to the pitches is Alder Pool, less than a five minute walk away.
