Relax beside the water at Sandwich Lakes, where you'll have easy access to seven lakes teeming with fish, the historic Kent town of Sandwich and a handy waterside cafe with hot food. Offering both grass and hardstanding pitches with optional electric for caravans, campervans and motorhomes, this peaceful park is within 20 minutes of Canterbury, and is also ten minutes to Howletts Wild Animal Park. Open year round.

About the site

This pet friendly park is set in tranquil countryside, home to a coarse fishery with peaceful lakeside scenery. You're in a good spot, with Sandwich a five minute drive away, 15 minutes to Ramsgate and much more! The fishery's grass pitches are level and spacious, with a set of hardstandings also available, all welcoming caravans, campervans and motorhomes. All pitches have an optional 16 amp electric hook up. A set of five pitches form a certificated location for members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club only, while other areas welcome non members. There's a children's play area and dog walk for your four legged friends. Of course, this site is a great pick for anglers, with seven peaceful, well stocked coarse fishing lakes, with match booking, night fishing and traditional grass bank fishing all available. Set across 55 acres, onsite you'll also find a tackle shop, walking paths and a lakeside cafe.

Facilities include a heated bathroom and shower block and washing up station. There's also a children's play area and onsite dog walk for burning off some energy.

The Waterside Café offers a range of hot meals and snacks, with both an indoor and outdoor lakeside seating area. There's also a tackle shop to pick up those fishing essentials.

There are shops, restaurants, pubs and more in Sandwich, a five minute drive away. The Chequer Inn at Ash is also under a five minute drive.

Things to do on site and in the Sandwich area

Of course, this site is a haven for keen anglers, with seven well stocked fishing lakes all on site, stocked with perch, tench, bream, roach and rudd, as well as a tackle shop for any fishing gear you need.

The local Pegwell Bay National Nature Reserve is a good place to spot some wildlife when you're not fishing, just a ten minute drive away.

If you fancy a look back into the past, make for Richborough's Roman artefacts and remains (five minutes). Canterbury is another great place for exploring, with a famous cathedral, Canterbury Tales attraction and lots of good places to eat and drink (20 minutes).

If the sun shines, you can be on the beach at Ramsgate within 15 minutes, with its attractive harbour and maritime museum. History buffs also won't want to miss the Ramsgate Tunnels for a peek into life in WWII.
