About the site
The Tarka Trail is inspired by Henry Williamson's famous novel 'Tarka The Otter' and this site is the ideal spot to explore the wonderful countryside along the famed trail. You're in the perfect place to relax and unwind, so set up camp in your tent and enjoy the coastal views and wildlife on seven acres of lush greenery. Well behaved dogs welcome. A handy bus stops close by for those looking to leave the car behind and BBQs are also permitted. This base is a short walk from the golden sands of Instow Beach and close to the surfing beaches of Westward Ho!, Woolacombe and Saunton.

Fantastic campsite, small, friendly, new facilities very well thought out. Access straight on to the Tarka Trail meant walking and cycling with the dog was easy. The bar also provided entertainment through the eccentric bar man and tasty ale!
