About Turners Folly Field

An idyllic, quiet family and dog friendly campsite, perfect for nature lovers and those wishing to escape everyday life. Set within seven and a half acres of the Kent countryside surrounded by apple and pear orchards and mature trees. Visit the stream at the bottom of the site for a paddle! The site offers 25 spacious non electric grass pitches for tents, measuring 11m x 10m with one tent per pitch. Giving campers plenty of space to set up and enjoy the local wildlife and orchard views, these pitches are also dog friendly. For anyone who does not want to bring their own accommodation, they can choose one of the fabulously furnished bell tents, measuring 5m in diameter, comfortably sleeping four people, (two adults and two children) with one double mattress and two single mattresses. With a fleecy throw, fairy lights, a bedside table and bunting. Linen and bedding are provided. Or you can opt for one of the more spacious Emperor tents measuring 6m x 4m, these sleep four to six people (two adults and four children) or (four adults and two children). Inside is a double bed two single mattresses (additional mattresses will be blow-up). With a fleecy throw, fairy lights, a bedside table and bunting. Linen and bedding are provided. Outside each will be a picnic table, bench and four camping chairs. You will also have your own small gas stove, kettle, cutlery, cups, plates, bowls, pots and pans, and a washing-up bowl and liquid. The bell tents and emperor tents are all non-electric to encourage guests to unplug from technology, a blend of glamping and an outdoor experience. The site has flushing toilets, hot showers and washing facilities. Relax in the peaceful countryside and listen to birdsong as you take in the wonderful countryside views, explore the area and take a picnic or take the dog for a scenic walk. You can also venture down to the coast - ten minutes to Sandwich Bay or 15-20 minutes to Deal and Walmer. You can also book a tasting session at the local vineyard, only five minutes away! You can reach the village of Ash via a short walk through the Apple orchards, once there treat yourself to an ice cream or a stroll through the charming streets. Dogs are welcome on the grass pitches, with a maximum of one dog per pitch, and they must be kept on a lead at all times. Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted in the bell or emperor tents. Open fires are not permitted unless in raised fire pits. BBQs must also be raised off the grass. Fire pits and BBQ packs can be purchased onsite as well as wood, coal, and gas.
