Secret Valley Escapes is a remote site set in Holmfirth on the edge of the Peak District. With two secluded safari tents boasting views over miles of woodland amongst the local wildlife. A great stay for the whole family or for those looking to escape it all and enjoy the peacefulness of the countryside. The site is home to a lake and offers free fishing for all guests as well as plenty of footpaths to explore around the site and further afield.

About Secret Valley Escapes
Tucked away in a stunning 10 acre valley with views over the woodland. Surround yourself with local wildlife and experience a remote stay away from the bustle of daily life, perfect for the whole family. A walkers haven with miles of footpaths to explore around the site or venture into the peak district and take in the scenic backdrops. Home to two safari tent style 'Dens', The Fox Hole and Deer Croft. Both are perfect for up to four people with a comfortable double bed and a bunk bed, with all bedding provided. Enjoy home comforts with your own ensuite bathroom including a shower, toilet and wash basin. Completely self contained with a your own small kitchen equipped with a gas hob, fridge, small freezer, kettle and plenty of crockery and cutlery. Ideal for home cooked meals with a dining table and chairs by the cosy indoor fire. Each has a outdoor seating area with a Solo Stove Fire Pits, perfect for alfresco dining. Wood is supplied with each booking and extra can be purchased onsite. Do note that open fires and disposable BBQs are not permitted. If you're looking for a peaceful group getaway then why not hire both accommodations to have exclusive site use. There are plenty of extras onsite to enjoy from free fishing in the spacious lake to cooking tasty pizzas in the wood fired pizza oven available for hire. Do note that due to the remote setting of the accommodation, after parking at the entrance you will need load your luggage into one of the quad trailers and take a walk through the woodland to your Den. Sorry no dogs are allowed onsite due to the wildlife and conservation in the area.

Each safari tent has its own toilet and shower, as well as access to an additional family shower and toilet room. Fishing is also available onsite.
The Ford Inn is a traditional pub less than mile from the site. The small town of Holmfirth is just a five minute drive away with a selection of restaurants and shops including a Co-op.

Safari tents with a double bed and bunk beds. Fully furnished with an ensuite including a shower and toilet, a fully equipped kitchen, table and chairs and an indoor fire. Outside is a seating area with a fire pit. Bedding is provided but towels are not.

Things to do on site and in the Holmfirth area
The site is a woodland retreat with plenty of footpaths leading you around the valley. Fishing is also available in the onsite lake, a great way to sit back, relax and take in the scenery. As the evenings roll in enjoy sitting round the fire pit or make home made pizzas in the onsite pizza oven.
Located on the very edge of the iconic Peak District, this is the perfect site to explore whether walking or cycling. Head to local reservoirs or climb nearby hills and take a moment to admire the breathtaking views on offer.
