Set on the 1200 acre Dartington Estate, Nearly 7 Acres offers a family-friendly break, five minutes from Totnes. There are non electric pitches for tents and campervans, with camping pods available too. About the site

The family run campsite is located within the 1,200-acre Dartington Estate, offering a backdrop of heritage and scenic countryside views. With a host of onsite eateries and activities, there is plenty for everyone to enjoy. There is a coffee shop, a bagel shop and a pub (all open daily), plus a unique cinema in a converted barn, grade II listed gardens, a play park and deer park trails! For tents, there are 27 grass 10m x 10m pitches without electric, and there are eight grass 8m x 12m pitches, also without electric, for campervans only. These are surrounded by woodland and farmland, with impressive views across the estate toward Dartmoor. If you want to leave the tent pegs at home, there are seven cosy camping pods. The pods sleep up to two in a double bed with bedding provided, along with towels, a dining area and heating. Shared campsite facilities can be found within a short stroll. Explore trails across the estate, wander through the gardens filled with sculptures and ancient trees, or enjoy live performances, workshops, and cinema sessions on the estate, quiz nights, or a stroll around the deer park. For days by the sea, Paignton Beach and Broadsands Beach are within a 25 minute drive. For those wanting to cook up their own dinner, raised fire pits and BBQs are permitted. Up to three dogs are welcome per pitch, but the pods are pet free. There is even an off lead area for walking canine companions.

The White Hart Pub offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is served daily from 7.30am to 9.30am. Opening hours are 5pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 11pm Friday and Saturday, and 7.30am to 9pm on Sundays. The Green Table Cafe is open daily (9am to 5.30pm), offering fresh bakes, breakfast and lunch. Montreal Style Bagels is open daily from 9am-4pm.

Onsite, you will also find the Barn Cinema, a play park, dog off-lead area, MiGolf Virtual multi-sport simulators, grade II listed gardens, bike racks, EV charging points and picnic areas. The Cider Press Centre is home to a gift shop, open Monday to Saturday 9am-6pm and 9am-4pm on Sundays.

Dartington Village Stores, The Good Food Shop, Bayards Kitchen and Pizzalogica are within a ten minute walk too.

Right on the estate is the Dartington Deer Park. There are walking paths and peaceful woodlands, with the chance to catch a glimpse of deer grazing in the fields! Onsite, you can also find the charming Barn Cinema. This old-fashioned, cosy cinema is set in a historic barn and shows a mix of new releases, family favourites, and classics.

Just a five minute drive away is the town of Totnes. It's full of quirky shops, local cafés, and colourful markets. You can wander along the riverside and visit Totnes Castle.

If you fancy a trip to the seaside, Paignton is just 20 minutes away by car. It has a classic sandy beach, a fun-filled pier with arcade games and rides, and the fantastic Paignton Zoo, home to hundreds of animals including giraffes, lions and monkeys!
