About the site
Situated in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by picturesque countryside and wildlife, this site offers a peaceful adult-only base for exploring the Jurassic Coast. Tents, trailer tents and small campervans are welcome on the site's 14 non electric grass and hardstanding pitches. The pitches each welcome up to three guests, varying from 12 feet to 18 feet wide. If glamping is more your thing, the site offers three idyllic shepherd's huts, Otter's Nest, Badger's Retreat and Fox's den, perfect for couples. The huts enjoy beautiful views of the small fishing lake, great for bird watching with your cup of coffee in the morning. Inside is a delightfully comfortable super king-size bed (bedding is not provided), two electric sockets and lighting. There is also a kitchenette equipped with a sink, a hob, fridge, kettle, crockery and utensils so you will have everything you need to cook up something tasty! Fox's den is the largest shepherds hut with ensuite and bedding provided for guests with its own ensuite toilets and showers. Otter's Nest has private toilet and shower facilities in huts nearby and Badger's Retreat has its own private showers and ensuite toilets. You will also have a private outdoor area surrounded by secure fencing, with your own fire pit BBQ, perfect for roasting marshmallows! Dogs are welcome to join you on holiday, including in the shepherd's huts.

Otter's Nest Shepherd's Hut

A cosy 6ft x 12 ft shepherd's hut, with a super king-size bed, a wood burner, as well as a fridge, sink, hob, kettle, electric, fire pit/ BBQ. Guests will need to bring their own bed linen, pillows and towels. Private loo and shower nearby.



Badger's Retreat Shepherd's Hut

A 7ft x 14ft shepherd's hut with a double bed, sink, gas hob, fridge, kettle, cooking equipment, electric, lighting and ensuite with shower. Outside is a bench table seating area and fire pit. Please bring your own bedding.










The Fox's Den Shepherd's Hut
Max 2 people
A slightly larger shepherd's hut, sleeping two and heated. Inside is a lovely king size bed, as well as a fridge, sink, hob, kettle and electric. Guests will need to bring their own bed linen, pillows and towels. Private WC and shower.

What time is check-in/out at Hobby Farm?
Check-in is from 12 noon until 8pm for camping and from 3pm until 8pm for glamping. You must leave your camping pitch by 12 noon on day of departure, or by 10am if you're glamping.
Does Hobby Farm allow BBQs and campfires?
Yes, the site allows both BBQs and campfires in fire pits. There is also firewood to purchase onsite.
Is Hobby Farm dog friendly?
Up to two dogs are welcome to join you whether camping or glamping, provided they are kept on a lead whilst onsite and well-supervised. Breeds and crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act are not permitted ( XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

Yes, Hobby Farm does operate a quiet policy between midnight and 7:30am.
Does Hobby Farm allow groups or pitches being booked together?
No, Hobby Farm does not allow group bookings as the site is aimed at couples and families.
