About the site
Set on a Highland estate with access to over 1,000 acres, including scenic woodland and roaming Highland cattle. Enjoy breathtaking scenery with stunning views over stunning Ben Nevis and the surrounding mountains. You can explore Glen Nevis right from the site with many footpaths through the forest and along the River Nevis! For tent campers, there are a range of grass pitches, varying from smaller backpacker pitches for those without a car, to designated numbered pitches with 16 amp electric hook ups. Pitches allow up to seven guests, with plenty of space to spread out. Trailer tents, campervans, caravans, motorhomes and RVs are also welcome, with a selection of hardstanding gravelled pitches to choose from. Choose between non electric, electric and fully serviced pitches with an electric hook up, water supply and drainage. If glamping is more your style, opt for one of the cosy pods. Sleeping two or three, the smaller pods come with either two singles or a double and the larger have three singles or a single and a double. Note you will need to bring your own bedding and towels. All pods have underfloor heating and double glazed windows to keep you nice and toasty even in the winter months. Each comes with electric and their own drying cupboard, plus a small kitchen area with a sink with cold water, an electric kettle and a fridge. The site also offers a generous range of top self catering accommodation, including luxury lodges, cottages and more. Purchase fishing permits from the onsite shop at reception and enjoy access to fish in the River Nevis. Up to two dogs per pitch are welcome and there are also dedicated walking areas for them to stretch their legs. Small fire pits, BBQs and chimineas are allowed but must be a safe and reasonable distance from other campers and should be raised off the ground. Do note, if there is a high fire risk warning in the area, they are not allowed. Open fires and the burning of firewood are not permitted, please use charcoal bricks and fire logs.
