About the site
Situated on the banks of the River Wenning, this family friendly touring site is ideal for those looking for a peaceful stay in the Yorkshire countryside. Within a 15 minute walk of the town of Bentham, you will be in easy reach of pubs and shops so you won't even need to use the car during your stay! Caravans, motorhomes and folding campers are welcome on all of the site's pitches. Pick between one of the 34 grass pitches and 15 hardstanding pitches, each with an electric hook up and TV point. There are also 12 fully serviced hardstanding pitches available, each with an electric, grey waste and water hook up. You will also have an adjacent gravel space, perfect for pitching up your awning or setting up your table and chairs for al fresco dining. The site is also great for keen fishermen, with a fully stocked fishing lake, and permits available for you to fish on the river, there is no better way to spend an easy-going afternoon. Fires are not allowed. Dogs are welcome, there is also a small exercise field available.

One of the best sites that I have stayed at. Great location on the river in a beautiful part of the country. Very clean toilets and shower block with all the facilities you need.

This a beautiful site which would have been a very peaceful visit for us had it not been for the mower and strimmer in use every day in the bay we stayed in and around the area of our pitch. There was only us and one other vehicle in this bay for several days. The mowing and strimming could have been completed in one day. It was difficult drying shower towels everyday as washing lines are not allowed (even though ours is free standing). We did not want to use the electric dryers in the laundry area as this would not have been environmentally friendly (given that this is a conservation site/area). We had to hang towels from cupboards inside our vehicle, which was far from ideal. The shower and toilets were, however, exceptional, as were all other facilities.
