About the site

A family run holiday park welcoming tents, tourers and glampers with all you need in terms of excellent facilities. Situated on the edge of East Devon's Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty, the site is a perfect base for exploring the Jurassic Coast and a visit to Exeter. There are a range of options for campers to choose from including non electric pitches suitable for tents only, fully serviced grass tent pitches and fully serviced hardstanding pitches for tourers. Pitches are across two mainly level fields, making sure campers have plenty of space to relax and unwind. For those who prefer glamping, there are eight pods onsite, all sleeping four people with a double bed and a bunk bed. Bedding is not provided. All of the pods have a kettle, fridge, a small dining area, heating, power sockets and a picnic bench. Shared facilities nearby. For a little more luxury, the Orchard Pods Plus have an ensuite loo and a small kitchenette with a sink. Three of the pods are pet friendly. There is also a range of holiday homes to hire as well as seasonal touring pitches. Enjoy a stroll around the spacious site, and with wildlife watching being the number one activity, be sure to keep an eye out! There is plenty to do onsite with a bar and restaurant, a playground and a games room. Guests may also use the facilities at Ladram Bay, where there is a swimming pool and private beach (charges may apply). Or, take a 30 minute walk to Woodbury for a range of shops and pubs as well as the common, great for a game of golf or walking. Exeter is just a 30 minute drive away for a day exploring the city. Alternatively guests can reach sandy Budleigh Salterton beach within a 15 minute drive for a day of swimming and sunbathing! Dogs are welcome. BBQs are available to hire from reception. Open fires are not permitted, sorry.

Site facilities include an amenity block with toilets, hot showers, fully accessible facilities, hair dryers plus underfloor heating. There is a coin operated laundry room, WiFi at a charge, a bicycle track and lots of space to walk the pups.

In reception there is a small well stocked shop for the essentials, including BBQs available to hire. There is also a play park on site for the little ones and a games room with a pool table.

The Castle Inn is the onsite bar and restaurant serves tasty food made with local ingredients, with takeaway available. Please note, that during low season the restaurant is not open every evening.

Guests are welcome to use the facilities of sister park, Ladram Bay which includes live entertainment, a swimming pool complex and private beach (charges may apply).

Things to do on site and in the Exeter area

There is plenty to keep you entertained whilst onsite, with a games room with a pool table, a playpark for the little ones and a bicycle trail. There is also plenty of wildlife to spot around site, so take a walk and see what you can find!

Devon is an idyllic holiday destination with pretty valleys and plenty of green hills, you'd be mad not to do some exploring in Devon. Jump in the car and head to the Jurassic Coast (15 minutes) where you can walk an epic coastline, stopping to nosey for fossils. Or for some city life drive 30 minutes to Exeter to browse the great range of shops and eateries.

If you've got the bike and you're ready to roam you'll be in Devon's quiet lanes in a flash. Woodbury Common (30 minute walk) makes a lovely spot to spin your wheels nearby, too, and it's not far from Haldon Forest (20 minutes) or the Exe Trail (35 minutes).

Keeping the little ones entertained has to be on your list, so take them to meet the cuddly fellas at Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary (20 minutes) or for a ride on the roller coasters at Crealy Great Adventure Park (10 minutes).
