About Sunnymead Farm Camping and Touring Site
This is a small, family-run site for tourers and campers, who pride themselves on their friendly atmosphere. Set in four acres of glorious North Devon countryside, midway between Woolacombe and Ilfracombe, this is a great base for exploring the area. All the pitches are large and level, with plenty of space for you to feel at home. Pitches are split into two enclosures and half an acre is available for rallies or, in the summer, large grass individual pitches. Tents and tourers are welcome across all of the grass pitches, with the option of one of the five larger non electric pitches, the nine regular electric pitches and four large electric pitches. There are also two fully serviced pitches with grass mesh, great for if the weather is looking unpredictable. Campervans, motorhomes and caravans can also stay here, with the option between fully serviced hardstanding pitches with, and without a driveway. The pitches all enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding landscapes, you may even be lucky enough to catch one of the beautiful sunsets over the sea. All of the pitches also allow up to six guests each, and each electric hook up is 16 amp. There are three delightfully friendly horses on site, Ranger, Winnie and Gizzy, that everyone is welcome to meet! Although due to these lovely residents, please keep your dogs on leads at all times. There are also static caravans available on site.

There are onsite showers and a family shower room, toilets, dishwashing facilities and ice pack freezing/phone charging (for a small charge in reception). The site offers free internet through BT Guest WiFi, available around the reception area. There is also a children's play area and a small onsite shop within the reception for basic provisions.
The nearest pub to the site is Depot Eatery, a 15 minute walk away. Co-op Food in Ilfracombe is the nearest supermarket, a five minute drive from site. If you want to leave the car behind the local bus service running to Ilfracombe, Woolacombe or Barnstaple stops on demand at the site entrance.

Good location between Ilfracombe and Woolacombe, on plain grass field which is on a slight slope with a small playground in, two showers and one toilet per male and female. Unfortunately drainage was not amazing in the showers and trays filled up with water. The field was also not lit at all at night so it is a dark walk across the field. The lady who ran reception was very friendly and helpful when we arrived giving us lots of information, unfortunately we only stayed 2 of the 3 nights due to horrendous rain.

Lovely campsite. A very friendly greeting when we arrived. A lovely pitch and the facilities were adequate, although we used our own. Perfect location for Woolacombe and Ilfracombe. Will definitely be back!

Things to do on site and in the Ilfracombe area
Just ten minutes from the Devon coast, the site is a prime location for exploring this county's beautiful beaches and countryside.
A short five minute drive will take you into Ilfracombe, full of seaside charm. Here you will find Tunnels Beaches where the dramatic landscape has created calm bathing pools away from the choppy sea.
Walk a further five minutes and you will stumble across the picturesque harbour, perfect for sitting back with a coffee and watching the boats bob up and down. The Ilfracombe Aquarium is also here, full of local marine species, exhibits for kids and a fun gift shop.
Woolacombe Beach (10 minutes) is perfect if you are looking for somewhere to relax and soak up the summer sun. The expansive beach is known for its golden sand and surfing opportunities.
