Centrally located in North Yorkshire's Nidderdale AONB and the Dales with gorgeous views and easy access to the picturesque Pateley Bridge, Riverside Caravan Park is the perfect stop to kick back and relax and enjoy all that Yorkshire has to offer. It is a peaceful site that offers electric grass and hardstanding pitches, along with easy access onto excellent walking and biking trails.

About the site


In the hands of the same family for four generations, the well-established park serves up peace, quiet and relaxation - all just a few minutes' stroll from the centre of Pateley Bridge, amidst the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The site offer a range of pitches - hardstanding, grass pitches, and grass protection-grid pitches are available, all with electric hook-up available. Caravans, motorhomes, campervans, roof tents, fold out campers and tents are all welcome at Riverside Caravan Park - although they are a smaller park and are only able to accommodate tents under 5m. Please note that tent camping is only available Sunday-Thursday. Explore the glorious countryside before retreating to your pitch to relax to the gentle sounds of the river.

Site facilities include a well maintained block with toilets, showers, wash basins, razor points (in the gents') and hair dryers (in the ladies'). There is also a family and accessible room, plus hot water washing up sinks. Calor gas and Gaz are available on site.

*Due to spacing regulations and in the interest of of safety, we are unable to accommodate tents over 5m, awning annexes, drive-away awnings, extra-wide awnings, gazebos, toilet tents and pup tents - awnings must be fixed to your unit. The maximum pitch width is 20', to include any guy ropes/fixtures.

*Camp fires are not permitted due to the risk of damage to people/property, you are welcome to use a bbq but please ensure they are raised from the ground.


A note from the site themselves...

Riverside Caravan Park was opened in the 1950s, what started as a few tents pitching up by the river has grown to be what we are today - a fourth generation site featuring clean facilities and a welcoming atmosphere.

Things to do on site and in the Harrogate area

The site is centrally located, just a few minutes' walk from the historic high street. Here you'll find many charming businesses, such as local butchers, bakeries, cafes, boutiques, restaurants, pubs, the oldest sweet shop in the world, and more.

It is also perfectly situated for easy access to endless trail systems, which will lead you through some of the most stunning scenery in the world.

Just beyond Pateley Bridge you'll find the backdrops of several scenes from popular television programmes and films such as All Creatures Great and Small (Grassington), Emmerdale (Harewood), Harry Potter (Malham), Wuthering Heights (Riddlesden), and Our Yorkshire Shop: A Victorian Restoration (Masham), to name just a few.

Within a short distance of the site you will find landmarks including Coldstones Cut, Fountains Abbey, Brimham Rocks, Howstean Gorge, Druid's Temple, multiple waterfalls, gardens, castles, and much more.

If you fancy a trip into town, there are several towns worth a visit nearby - why not book a boat ride along the canal in Skipton, view the stunning architecture of Ripon Cathedral, or go for an afternoon tea in Harrogate?
