Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding PitchesMay 2026

Absolutely lovely site. Spacious pitches - ours was between mature hedges so very private. Facilities were very good and immaculately clean - good, hot showers too. Both Claire and Andrew called round to make sure everyone was happy and had all they needed. Overall a very good, well run site. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Site's response

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

We spent 3 nights at Hallsdown Farm and loved it. The campsite is very secluded, making it quiet. Although we did enjoy listening to the lambs bleating in a far off field. Our grass pitch was perfect, with short grass and a good size. The electric hook up was close as was our own water pipe, brilliant. The toilets were individual showers/toilets, giving privacy with plenty of room. The shower was lovely and hot and a good size cubicle. I also noticed one of the rooms was set up for disabled people with hand rails and a seat in the shower. This would be perfect if support to shower was required as there was plenty of room. I would recommend the campsite clean the shower heads with a brush to clean the water outlets. Some had become blocked and a brush would clean this. There was a washing up room with an honesty shop and small fridge. As a suggestion, It would be handy with so many plots to offer a larger fridge/freezer for storage. The chemical toilet waste was good with a funnel type flute which kept it hygienic. The was also a hose pipe for rinsing and cleaning. We walked to a local reservoir called Wistlandpound. There were two walks, we took the inner which was a perfect length walk for someone with arthritic knees. The whole walk from the campsite and return was about 2.5 to 3 miles. At the beginning/end was a drinks van, offering hot and cold drinks and food. Claire and Andrew were both friendly and welcoming, but without being intrusive. We loved that it was child and dog free as this is unusual to find but allows us to relax and chill out completely. The resident donkey, Gerald and his two ponies friends, were very friendly too. We think very highly of this campsite and will definitely revisit.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

Great quiet site attached to a farm. The donkey, horses, goats and farm dog a bonus. Shower facilities were great having a long room withe everything in one space. Proper taps on shower much better than push buttons. Electricity on meter worked out a good price. Will stay again.
