About the site

The site is a tranquil destination, perfect for a quiet holiday. Unwind at your pitch as you marvel at the views of Eryri (Snowdonia National Park), just a 15 minute drive away, or get out and explore the nearby coastline or the beautiful Isle of Anglesey. Tents, roof tents, trailer tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans are welcome across the site's range of grass pitches. Either opt for one of the 13 non electric pitches, or chose one of the 18 pitches which comes with a 16 amp electric hookup. If you are looking for all of the amenities, the site also has five fully serviced grass tent pitches and six fully serviced hardstanding pitches which are suitable for caravans, motorhomes, campervans, tents and trailer tents. The fully serviced pitches come with a 16 amp electric and water hookup, along with a grey waste drain. All of the pitches welcome up to six guests, with well-manicured grounds and planting all around. If glamping is more your style, the site also has a charming shepherd's hut for two. The hut comes equipped with a double bed, bedding, linen, a single gas stove, a table and chairs, crockery, a toilet, sink, gas, electric and a wood-burning stove for those cooler nights. Outside you will also have your own decking area with a fire pit and BBQ, perfect for al fresco cooking. When staying on any of the pitches, fire pits and BBQs are welcome as long as they are raised from the ground. The site also has fire pits available for hire, great for evenings toasting marshmallows under the stars! Up to two four-legged friends are also welcome if you're camping or parking up your tourer, so make room for the dog bed. Please note that dogs are not allowed in the Shepherd's Hut. There are also 38 seasonal pitches onsite, each fully serviced and suitable for extended stays.

Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding PitchesOct 2025

For the amount it cost to stay here, I was expecting a very nice site and facilities. The facilities were small, cold and average at best. Only 3 showers and toilets in the ladies', 2 in the men's. The family shower was a very, very cold room, with cold and dirty floor and nowhere to hang anything to keep it dry (unless you use a hook waist high behind a bin where your towel would be on the dirty floor). When we arrived, we were advised not to walk to pubs and shops as there is no path, and actually, it's only a cafe in walking distance. For anything else, driving is a must, so had to drive everywhere. Although, very few places serve food after 5, not the site's fault though! The majority of pitches are seasonal and to be honest. Feels like a "local" atmosphere, if you're not one, you're not as welcome. Given a hard standing pitch down a huge hill where all the water pools, so couldn't actually use the awning all week because our pitch was a river, and as for hardstanding, the legs sank into the ground. Cameras everywhere like you're constantly being watched, there's security and then there's reality tv. Quite close to a big road and lots of road noise as walking around site, not the tranquil images shown. The area shown seem to be seasonal pitches so a bit misleading for tourers. I think if this site had been £150-£200 less (like others we looked at) there's bits we would overlook but for the price, expected more. Would benefit from a small onsite shop or even just a reception area to sell milk and bread. Only positive is not far to drive to Snowdon. We wouldn't return.

Site's response

I'm sorry to hear that you found our heated family shower room cold and unlike everyone else, you found the floor dirty. Thank you for the suggestion to put up extra coat hangers. The shop and café in the village are walkable along the cycle/foot path. Unfortunately, there isn't a path all the way to Caernarfon, where you will find pubs and restaurants, but the bus will stop by our entrance and phone numbers for taxis are available.

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesSep 2025

Second time staying at this site. Will definitely be booking again. Booked an electric pitch this time, which was nearer the toilet blocks, really large pitches which give you so much room. Out of all the sites we have been too, which is a lot, this has now become my favourite. The site is so peaceful, staff are so friendly and helpful. It rained all weekend this time, but still the toilets and showers were immaculately kept. If you are considering booking this site, do it, you will not be disappointed.

Site's response

Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us again and for your wonderful feedback! We're delighted to hear that our site has become your favourite and that you enjoyed the spacious pitches, peaceful setting, and spotless facilities. Even with the rain, it's great to know our team helped make your stay enjoyable. Wish you were here today, with the perfect blue skies!

A great site to stay on if you want peace and quiet
