About the site

An ideal base for days exploring Exeter and evenings around the campfire. This small, 7.5 acre woodland site provides an immersive nature experience for guests to unwind, spot wildlife and socialise with other campers. It is also only a 30 minute drive from the coast for those warm summer days. For tent campers, there are a total of seven non electric grass pitches dotted around the woodland. Each pitch offers privacy. The facilities are also lit up at night to help guide you through the woodland and add to the magical feel. If glamping is more your style, enjoy a stay in the spacious safari tent. Inside you will find a living area with a dining table and chairs, plus cooking equipment. There is also a double bedroom plus a bunk bedroom, both with linen included. Outside is a veranda with a table and chairs for al fresco dining too. All guests will have access to a range of communal facilities. For all of your cooking needs, there is a sheltered kitchen area, along with a fire pit and BBQ! The site is a member of the Greener Camping Club, meaning at least one member of your party must have a membership. A tree is planted for each booking made, part of the site's eco credentials. The facilities are off-grid and eco toiletries are even included to ensure no harm to the local wildlife. Please note, this site is dog free.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Wild Woodland PitchesAug 2025

The site is in a woodland location with each pitch surrounded by trees which makes it really private. It was really quiet and the kids could run around freely. The kitchen area was really well equipped for a camp site and the eco shower was great although more than one would have been good. There was a fire pit / BBQ area for each pitch.

Great campsite! Great for beginners! We had a 2 year old with us and it was perfect! For someone who has never been camping before, this campsite made it the perfect experience.
