About the site

This peaceful site is ideally located just a ten minute drive from the scenic Quantock Hills. Whether you're an angler or not, everyone can enjoy camping beside the onsite lakes. Here you can relax and unwind, while exploring the many fascinating areas Somerset has to offer. It's perfect for families and couples, groups of friends, anglers, and anyone looking to escape for a peaceful holiday. The site is home to three beautiful lakes to enjoy and has even won 'Fishing Holiday Specialists of the Year' at the South West Prestige Awards! Campers can choose from non electric grass pitches for tents, as well as electric options. There are also electric grass pitches for tents or campervans, each equipped with a 16 amp hook up. Please note that all pitches approximately measure 8m x 8m, except the electric grass tent/campervan pitches, which measure 12m x 10m. You'll find a set of four cosy glamping pods, all equipped with a TV, electricity, a kettle and crockery. Three family pods sleep up to four with a double bed and two foldaway single beds, while the Alder glamping pod is perfect for two with a double bed. Please bring your own bedding. Stylish Lotus Belle tents are also available, sleeping either two or four guests. The Stargazer Belle tent sleeps two and features one double bed (bedding provided), a wood-burning stove, a chest of drawers, crockery, cutlery, two folding chairs and a small table. Outside is a bench seating area. The five standard Lotus Belle tents sleep four, with a double bed, two single beds with memory foam mattresses and bedding, a kettle, crockery, cutlery and a BBQ kit. Outside, you'll find a fire pit, a BBQ grill and seating. If you fancy giving fishing a go, you can hire equipment from the site - it could even be the start of a new hobby! Dogs are welcome too, and there is even a dedicated shower for muddy paws.

The site is open from 1st February until 2nd December with the exception of bell tents which are available from May to September. Pitches from £21/night for 2 people.

Medium Tent - Grass Pitches With Optional ElectricJul 2026

We enjoyed our stay at Burton Springs. The pitches are spacious, there are wooden picnic benches available to use on your pitch, the campsite had a nice relaxed vibe. The doggy play area was great & also spacious and fenced off . There was an on site shop that sold essentials however a coffee machine would make a great addition. There was a spa about a 5min drive and pubs within a few min drive . The lakes were lovely , we didn't fish but it was nice to walk round with the dogs . Within half hr drive there were seaside towns to visit but within a 10 min drive there was a rustic coastal path to walk . Showers were warm & clean & the site was spotless, pitches well maintained etc. Couldn't fault it for a quite laid back weekend away , however if you are looking for things to do ..places to visit you are looking at a half hr drive which we didn't mind as we booked this site mainly to chill out and not do much other than chill.

Amazing stay

A note from the site themselves...

We are a husband and wife team with two fluffy doggies, and we have been the owners of Burton Springs Holidays for two years. We decided at the beginning of the pandemic to take a leap of faith and change our lives. So some internet searching, sailing across an ocean, and hey presto, we were lucky enough become the very proud owners of Burton Springs.

As a small site, we very much believe in the personal touch and are always around to give advice on local attractions, information on the fishing or just a chat. We really love that family feeling and treat everyone as our guests to our beautiful piece of the countryside.
