Just a five minute drive from the nearest sandy beach, and a five minute walk from your nearest pub, here you will have everything you need on your doorstep. Located in the charming village of Humansby, this small glamping site is perfect for a relaxing getaway on the Yorkshire Coast. The Really Cosy Pod is kitted out with everything you will need for a relaxing stay for two. The pod comes equipped with a double bed, duck feather bedding, chairs, electric, and a small kitchen area with a fridge, kettle and microwave, great for self-catering. You will also have an electric heater, perfect for those cooler months! Your toilet and shower facilities will be located in a pod nearby. There is a seating area for you to use, great for enjoying those warmer evenings. If you are wanting a luxurious experience, the Really Posh Pod is a perfect choice. You can enjoy a wonderful night's sleep on a luxurious king-size bed with Siberian goose feather duvet and pillows. Inside you will also find a continental kitchen with crockery, a living/dining space with a smart TV and WiFi. You will also have a deluxe ensuite with a slipper bath, robes and towels for that extra comfy feel. Outside is a private garden area with outdoor furniture and a jacuzzi hot tub, perfect for al fresco dining or unwinding with a glass of bubbly as you gaze up at the stars! A well-behaved sociable dog is welcome to join you for your stay, just please ensure they are not left unattended in the pods.

All pods have ensuite toilet and shower facilities. There is a seating area for guests of the Posh Pods to use. The car park allows for one car per pod although there is plenty of on street parking just outside.

I cannot recommend this place enough. It is absolutely stunning! Located in the most beautiful private and peaceful setting. Vicky the owner was so lovely and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us and is literally a phone call away. The really Posh Pod isn't just your standard glamping pod, it has everything you need and more. You would not actually think you're in a pod. The decor, the free standing bath, the shower, the comfy king size bed with goose down bedding. There is a hot tub, a smart TV, Wifi, and the kitchen area that has every single type of glass and cutlery you need. Also complimentary slippers to keep, bath robes, and fully heated on arrival. I have honestly had the most perfect little break away and we cannot wait to go back. Superb little find and an amazing price! Thanks for having us! X

We had 2 nights stay in the posh pod with hot tub. The location is perfect, short walk or train ride to local seaside resorts. The pods have everything you need and very comfortable and private. The hot tub was lovely 😍 We would definitely return.

Guests can check-in between 2pm and 6pm. Please call Vicky the owner to arrange key collection. Checkout is due by 9:30am on your final day.

Is Hunmanby Follies Posh Pods dog-friendly?

Yes! Dogs are welcome, with one per pod. Dogs must also be controlled at all times, cleaned up after, and not left unattended.

Does Hunmanby Follies Posh Pods allow BBQs and campfires?

Open fires are not allowed. Guests are welcome to bring their own BBQ as long as it remains off the ground

Does Hunmanby Follies Posh Pods allow group bookings?

The site caters for small families and couples only. It does not accept group bookings or multiple pitches. Hen and stag parties are also not accepted, sorry.

A note from the site themselves...

Originally built in 1825 as a ruin, this unique Grade II listed building has been transformed into two lovely detached gatehouses, yet retaining all the visual appearances of a ruin. It was purchased after the closure of Hunmanby Hall School for Girls back in 1998.

Our pods were built in the ground back in 2016 and have been super popular ever since. I hope to welcome you soon so you can enjoy them for yourselves, Vicky

Things to do on site and in the Filey area

Hunmanby is a relaxed village with a holiday-style way of life, you are close to the beach (the breath taking Hunmanby Gap) and within a short drive of the seaside resorts of Scarborough (9 miles) Whitby (30 miles) and Filey (5 miles). Filey is perfect for taking a walk on the beach, grabbing some fish and chips or enjoying an ice cream.

Just a five minute drive down the road is The Bay, Filey. The Bay is home to a leisure centre boasting a gym, sauna and swimming pool. On site you will also find a putting green, tennis court and the John Paul Jones pub which serves great food - in particular the gourmet burgers!

Walking or cycling routes are in abundance along this coast, so there is plenty to do. There are also a selection of local golf courses within reach if you want to bring your clubs!
