Why choose Bucklegrove Holiday Park

Family friendly facilities including an indoor swimming pool, restaurant/bar, shop and playground!

On the edge of Somerset's Mendip Hills, ten minutes from Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge

Great range of grass and hardstanding pitches or glamping including pods and cabins

About the site

The park is nestled by the base of the Mendips, offering views of the timeless Somerset Levels and Brent Knoll that will inspire any walker. It's less than 15 minutes' drive from Cheddar Gorge and half an hour from Glastonbury. Camping and touring pitches are set across two fields, one - the original - treats you to sweeping panoramic views and has the shelter of a group of mature trees and shrubs. Pup tents and gazebos are allowed for storage. The other was previously home to tasty strawberries, and now is the closest to all the park's family friendly facilities. With a choice of electric, non electric and fully serviced pitches, you're sure to find something you like across these fields. For a pod stay, Bucklegrove has all the essentials, so they'll keep you warm, dry and very comfortable. Just remember to bring your bedding with you if you're staying in the cabins or camping pod! If you don't fancy the hassle of bringing your home with you, why not curl up in a cosy cabin? These open plan spaces include your bed, electricity, heating and much more. There are also a top range of self catering holiday homes and lodges on site, including options to suit any budget.

A note from the site themselves...

The park first began as a Tea Room in the 1940s and is now home to one of the largest holiday complexes in Somerset, operated and owned by Wookey Hole. We pride ourselves on being a family friendly park, with a knowledgeable team that will always be on hand to welcome and advise you before and during your stay.

Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding PitchesOct 2025

Lovely site, clean facilities and friendly staff. Nice food options in the restaurant/bar. Views from the site had potential, but were sadly blocked from view by mist and rain during our stay. Good WiFi across the site. Nice looking playground for younger children. Small swimming pool. Snooker table for older children.

Highly recommend

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesOct 2025

Pleasant site with views and dog friendly. Very clean. Easy to register and find our plot. Utilities were within an easy walking distance, although the toilets and showers looked 'tired', they were exceptionally clean and the shower was strong and hot. Highly recommend and good value for money.
