Head 10 minutes in the car to either the coast or Snowdonia National Park (Eyri).

A quiet and simple site that makes an ideal base for exploring Snowdonia. Ten minutes from Snowdonia National Park (Eyri) for those looking for an outdoorsy adventure, and five minutes to Caernarfon for family days out. Both family and dog friendly, there is no need to leave anybody out on your Welsh adventure! The site has 20 spacious grass pitches spread across two fields, some slightly sloping, 2 of which have electric hook up, the rest are non electric. The site is simple and provides all of the essential facilities for your holiday. Be sure to bring a torch whilst camping as the fields are unlit. Set on the outskirts of the traditional Welsh village of Llanrug with local pubs, a village shop and a chippy guests have everything they need within a short walk. A family day out isn't complete without a trip to Zip World Bethesda, 20 minutes away by car. Or try some watersports at Llyn Padarn Lake which is ten minutes away, paddleboard, kayak or wild swimming! Why not attempt Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) for the sunrise? Or take the railway to reach the top and admire the panoramic views at 1,000+ metres. Or, for some seaside fun Dinas Dinlle Beach is only a 15 minute drive from the site! There is also a bus service in town if you don't want to drive! BBQs are permitted as long as they are raised off the ground. Firepits are allowed on the camping pitches and can be rented from the site reception, but not on any of the touring pitches. Log bags are available to purchase from the reception. Dogs are welcome, there is even an exercise field to walk them around! Please note that the field's borders are hedgerows so may not be fully secure. Children are also welcome to play in the field as there are no ball games permitted by the pitches.

For those seeking adventure, Llyn Padarn (10 minutes) is one of the largest natural lakes in Wales, a great spot for wild swimming and watersports! Or the base of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) is easily reached whether you're walking or taking the railway up (20 minutes)!
if you're wanting a bit more buzz head to Caernarfon (5 minutes) and admire the UNESCO site of Caernarfon Castle, with perfect views of the Menai Straits and a great day out, especially for history lovers! Here, there are also plenty of restaurants, bars and shops to spend your days and evenings.
Head across the Menai Straits to Anglesey (10 minutes) and see what wildlife you can spot! Anglesey is home to the likes of puffins and dolphins at certain times of the year - so time your trip right! Head to some of the fantastic beaches, great for family days out with the dog, why not learn to surf whilst you're there?
Conveniently located at the top of the drive is a small family run takeaway, serving delicious roast dinners every Sunday until early afternoon - so you can enjoy a lovely home cooked roast in the comfort of your caravan without any of the cooking and cleaning up!
