With onsite surf hire, street food and the famous Croyde Bay a two minute walk away, you have everything you need for the perfect coastal getaway. Overlooking Croyde Bay, this family friendly site makes for the perfect base for those looking to chill out on the beach or catch some waves. Situated on the South West Coast Path, this also makes for a popular destination for keen walkers and even climbers looking to explore Baggy Point. The site welcomes tents, campervans and small motorhomes (6.5 metres in length max) across its range of grass and hardstanding pitches, half of which offer electric hook up. The site offers three types of pitches, small, medium and large, so check your tent or campervan size before booking your desired pitch. A range of the non electric grass pitches also enjoy views out over the beach and bay, the perfect spot for watching the sunset with a chilled beer or glass of wine. Water sports enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice. Rent surfboards, bodyboards, paddleboards and wetsuits from the onsite surf hut and enjoy spending your days out on the water! BBQs are welcome onsite, just please ensure they are raised from the ground. Bricks can be provided. Open fires are prohibited. Sorry, dogs are not allowed.

Facilities include separate male and female toilet blocks, each with three toilets and three hot showers, two of which have a small private changing area. Outside, there are two additional showers, one hot and one cold. Guests also have access to an indoor washing up area and a 24/7 fridge/freezer located in the Cool Hut shack. Battery charging points for mobiles and tablets are available, and free WiFi is provided across the pitches.

Inside the reception, there is a small shop stocking cold drinks, ice creams, chocolates, camping essentials, and merchandise. The surf hire offers a wide selection of surfboards for all levels, as well as bodyboards, paddleboards, wetsuits, and more. This operates from Easter through September, open from 8am - 7pm on weekdays and 8am - 9pm on weekends.

Biffen's Kitchen Food Truck is open onsite from April to September, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

For additional supplies, the nearest shop is the Nisa Local at Ruda Holiday Park, just a five minute walk away, or the Croyde Village Shop, around a 15 minute walk. The nearest pubs include The Thatch, Billy Buds, The Manor, and Blue Grove, all within a 20 minute walk.

Ocean Pitch is at the heart of our family life - working and living a stone's throw from the ever so beautiful Croyde Bay with outstanding views of the beach and the Atlantic Ocean.

Our goal was to always create a cosy, idyllic atmosphere where campers could return each season creating memories by the ocean!

Welcoming both families, couples and surfers alike, our campsite is small, but holds a special atmosphere where campers can relax and unwind after a day in the surf, on the beach or exploring the South West Coast path. What's more we have an award winning surf inspired street food van onsite (Biffen's Kitchen) to keep your appetite satisfied during your stay.

The site offers plenty of fun activities, with surf hire among the most popular options.

Learn how to ride the waves with Surfing Croyde Bay, which is highly regarded as one of the best places to learn how to surf here in the UK. They offer both professional surfing lessons and exciting coasteering experiences for those looking to get up close to the coast.

The South West Coastal Path is also less than a five minute walk from the site, with walking and cycling routes. You can follow the trail 20 minutes down the coast to Baggy Point, a National Trust headland where you can spot seabirds nestling on the cliffs.

A 20 minute drive along the coast will take you to Woolacombe Beach, known for its golden sands and surfing opportunities. Here you will also find Funder Island, an amusement park with mini golf and other seaside attractions, perfect for keeping the kids busy.
