Situated just 20 minutes from Winchester, ten minutes from the South Downs National Park
Located on a quiet lane in the village of Bighton, guests can enjoy being within walking distance of both a pub and a restaurant. Being only a ten minute drive from the South Downs National Park, there are also plenty of walking routes to explore, along with being just a short 5 minute stroll from the historic Watercress Line (a 19th-century heritage line with steam trains). The glamping pods are fully furnished and sleep a maximum of two adults. The pods are fitted with a cosy double bed, ensuite toilet, an electric heater and kettle and thoughtful touches to elevate your stay such as fairy lights, magazines, books and a TV! Outside is an enclosed private garden, with both a front and rear patio to soak up the sunshine from. Children are not permitted in the pods, sorry! The two shepherd's huts, named 'Lazy Days' and 'Keeper's Cosy', are also adult-only. Prepared with all you may need for your stay, the shepherd's huts both offer a fully-equipped kitchen with cooking equipment, utensils and crockery. The open plan living space boasts a bedroom area with a double bed, smart TV and WiFi. You will also have the luxury of a modern ensuite with a shower and loo, along with a wood burner for those cooler evenings. Outside, you will find an enclosed veranda, as well as your own private patio, a BBQ stand, and sun loungers for making the most of the summer months. To ensure a very peaceful countryside escape, and to protect the surrounding wildlife, no pets are allowed. The site is located less than ten minutes away from the Georgian market town of Alresford with its colour-washed houses, riverside walks and the UK's capital of watercress farming. Explore the picturesque streets lined with delightful rural pubs, cafés and restaurants, as well as boutique shops. There is also a great range of wildlife nearby and onsite, including red kites, squirrels, pheasants, hawks and glow worms.

For day trips, Winchester (20 minutes) is absolutely perfect as it is steeped in Roman history and has a lovely cathedral. In the winter, the cathedral is decked out with lights and features an ice skating rink, while in warmer times it's lovely to explore.
Jane Austen's former home (now a Museum) is also located ten minutes away in the nearby village of Chawton where you can also visit Chawton House (which her brother used to own) for a combined cultural day out.
Be sure to also take the picturesque 5 minute stroll to the Watercress Line and hop on at Ropley Station. The heritage train line takes you on a vintage steam train journey through the Hampshire countryside where you can visit charming towns and villages along the way.
