About Cae Du Campsite
Picturesque, dog friendly campsite with fantastic views from every pitch. Set at the foot of Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), this site is perfectly placed for exploring all of what the Snowdonia National Park has to offer, from hikes, cycle rides and even wild swimming. An outdoors lover's paradise! There is a great range of pitches on offer, with something for every camper! The spacious pitches all boast spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, guests can choose from grass, hardstanding or a mixture of the two! Some pitches have the added luxury of an electric hook up and water hook up too. The site accepts backpacker tents, tents, trailer tents, campervans and motorhomes. A river runs along the site where guests can have a go at wild swimming, a great way to cool off after a long hike up Mont Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa). Or, there is an onsite lake where guests can fish! Under a ten minute walk into the local village, guests can spend their evenings at one of the pubs or browsing the shops. Campfires in raised fire pits are permitted, and these can also be hired from reception. Raised BBQs are also permitted. Campfires and BBQs should not scorch the grass. The site is dog friendly, but please ensure dogs are kept on a lead unless they are in the enclosed exercise area where pups can be let off the lead.

There are communal shower and toilet facilities onsite, as well as a designated washing up area, laundry room and dog walking area. There is WiFi too.
Guests are able to fish in the river that passes through site.
The closest pub is the Tanronnen Inn, just a 15 minute walk from the site. For picking up any essentials, Emrys House is also just a 15 minute walk away in the village of Beddgelert.

We had an amazing stay at this campsite - perfect location for our snowdon hike and a short ride away from some lovely villages. Only thing we would say is campsite may benefit from an on site shop or bar area but apart from that outstanding site for price

Very hard to fault this campsite, the location is perfect with amazing views and the staff were excellent, all very friendly and accommodating. We ordered firewood for both nights and it arrived within minutes to our tent, excellent service. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Snowdonia.

Friendly staff on arrival, clean and comprehensive facilities and overall nice atmosphere to be around. Brilliant location, only a 5 minute walk into Beddgelert and very close in a car to all the main areas for walking & visiting.

Things to do on site and in the Snowdonia area
For keen walkers, Cae Du is the place for you! With a pretty riverside walk and a beautiful lake to walk around. Or take a five minute drive, or 40 minute walk to Llyn Dinas, a great spot for wild swimming, canoeing or paddle boarding! So, this is the time to try out something new, or if watersports aren't for you just simply take in the pretty views.
There are plenty of walking and cycling trails around, you can even hire a mountain bike or electric bike for those adrenaline junkies! Nearby walks include Aberglaslyn (for a gorge walk), Cwm Bychan (for views of Llyn Dinas) and Moel Hebog (to overlook the campsite with sea views).
And obviously Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), either take the Watkin path up and the Cambrian way down or park in the car park for a shorter walk.
The pretty village of Bddgelert is just a 15 minute walk away and home to pretty stone built shops, pubs, craft stores and even a pizzeria! Be sure to take a stroll down and explore, a great way to unwind after a day in the outdoors.
For a family day out, visit Sygun Copper Mines, only a 25 minute walk away. Here you can visit the underground Victorian Copper Mine to take a step back in time. Here there is also a children's playground, museum and cafe.
