About the site

If you want a site that is large (spread over several fields) and relaxed, then you will get just what you are looking for. The site is located on 250 acre working National Trust farm of Pwll Caerog. Being based just ten minutes from the popular city of St Davids, you will be blessed with spectacular sea views. You can choose where to pitch and which field you prefer - customers can select a location onsite that is right for them and meets their holiday requirements. Simply decide whether you want to be by the sea or maybe near the facilities, explore the site map and choose where is best for you. The site has a great range of pitches, all welcoming tents and tourers and up to ten guests. Decide whether you want your grass pitch with a 16 amp electric hook up or without. This rustic campsite is an ideal base for visitors to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the surrounding area. The site is just 500 metres from a pebble rocky cove, which is located at the base of the farm and is accessed via a small scramble down the coastal path. This relaxed site offers a spacious camping area with oodles of open space and numerous electric hook-up points set over several large camping fields. There are ample showers and toilets, and two communal dining areas that can be used by campers should the weather become a little blustery, open during the first weeks in August. You will enjoy stunning coastal views of the Irish Sea across the whole site and sunsets that are truly amazing. BBQs and open fires are permitted onsite. Please ensure they are raised off the ground. Fire pits are also available for hire on a first come, first served basis. If making a fire, the fuel, logs and coal have to be purchased onsite.

Celtic Camping is open from 01/04 to 29/09. Pitches from £28/night for 2 people.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Lower Abereiddi Field) Sep 2025

Great campsite, very remote and wild with beautiful sea views. Lots of space on the site. Facilities were simple, all you need for camping and clean. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Short walk to the coast path and/or the strumble shuttle comes close to the entrance so you can bus north or south then walk back.

Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Lower Abereiddi Field) Aug 2025

I was extremely impressed with all that the campsite had to offer. The view was amazing, so much to do. Extremely friendly cleaning lady - think Jackie or Jackeline - does a fantastic job at keeping everything very clean. Would 100% recommend, I came on my own and felt very safe. Thank you for the memories I will definitely be back.

Great time, very helpful staff

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Pen Berry Field)Aug 2025

Beautiful location. Very accommodating and helpful staff. Ian was very helpful - offered to help us with access as my son is in a wheelchair. He allowed us to use the 'quiet field' even though they had clearly stopped any pitches on there for the season, they were happy to be flexible as the main field was very busy and it was only one night He was again helpful when our air bed electric pump didn't work, allowing us to use the electricity supply in the community feeding hall. A beautiful star lit sky and a Morrisons invite on the floor.

A note from the site themselves...

Back in October of 1999, Ian and Judy Griffiths became the first tenants for the National Trust on their newly acquired working farm called 'Pwll Caerog'. Pwll Caerogs'. The stunning views across the sea gave Ian and Judy the idea to share this wonderful spot by opening up their home as a B and B in the summer of 1992.

Soon after, the campsite opened, and Celtic Camping was soon established. The business has organically grown since the beginning and has slowly developed since. It is still very much a working farm with grazing cattle, a logs business and a variety of crops, such as malting barley and potatoes, growing onsite.

We can't wait to welcome you soon!
