About Dentdale Pods
This is a small site with three luxury glamping pods, nestled on the outskirts of the charming village of Dent - famous for its cobbled streets and friendly atmosphere. It's the ideal base for exploring the stunning natural beauty of the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District. The site is situated on a family farm, surrounded by hay meadows and lambing fields. Wake to the sound of birds in the morning and watch lambs running around the fields in spring! Each ensuite pod is complete with its own unique charm and character. All pods are fitted with a full-sized shower and toilet and include a furnished interior with a kitchenette. There's space to relax, too, with a flat-screen TV, games and WiFi. The Plough is a warm and cosy pod, perfect for couples or small families (sleeps four). It boasts a well-equipped kitchenette, as well as a super-comfy double bed with stunning views of Dentdale. The pod also features a comfortable sofa bed, should you need it. For an extra touch of luxury, guests staying in The Plough pod can hire a hot tub for an additional cost. After a day of exploring the stunning surroundings, unwind in the privacy of a timber barn. Named after a 19th Century harrow found on the farm, The Old Harrow pod also sleeps four and provides breathtaking views of the lambing fields and Howgills. It features a full double bed and two single bunk beds. Guests can enjoy the covered decked area or outside seating and table with a fire pit barbecue. For a romantic getaway, The Fallow pod is the ideal choice. Sleeping up to three, this bespoke pod features a kitchen, a cosy bed, and stunning countryside views. No need to think about the unpredictable British weather - the pods have underfloor heating and are fully insulated. One dog is welcome in each pod. However, they are not allowed on the furniture.
Dentdale Pods is open from 01/03 to 25/11.
Each pod has its own en-suite with a kitchenette, toilet, shower, sink and washbasin. Free WiFi is available throughout the site.
There is a Morrisons in Kendal, a 30 minute drive away and The George and Dragon pub is just a ten minute walk from the site.

The Old Harrow Pod

The Old Harrow is a timber-built, fully self-contained luxury pod. Suited to up to four people, this ensuite pod features a full double bed, two single bunk beds, kitchenette and countryside views.
The Fallow Pod

This ensuite pod sleeps up to three with a double bed and a sofa bed for one child. It features a kitchenette, a bathroom with a luxurious free standing bath and countryside views.
The Plough Pod
Max 4 people
The Plough is a warm and cosy luxury pod, featuring a comfy double bed, sofa bed, en-suite facilities, a kitchenette with a microwave oven, fridge, kettle and toaster. Optional hot tub is available. Sleeps up to four.

I cannot stress enough how impressed I was with this place!! The pod was gorgeous and cozy, and incredibly well stocked up (amenities such as a coffee machine, an air fryer and built in speakers that we never expected). The location was also lovely, with a very helpful guide on walks and local places that we could visit, and an added bonus that we could purchase fresh eggs from the farm! The bed was also the most comfortable bed that I have ever stayed in! Emily and Mark were helpful and lovely hosts, we could not fault anything about our whole experience, other than I wished that we could have stayed longer! We will definitely be coming back to stay here in the future :)

Dentdale Pods is by far the best glamping experience we have ever had! We spent two nights here and honestly I was begrudgingly packing on that final morning; if I could've stayed for the whole week, I would! We have stayed in a few similarly built pods over the years, but hand on heart this is miles above the rest. Perhaps it's me not properly reading websites, but it felt like there was surprise after surprise in The Old Harrow. Whilst glamping, we didn't expect the luxuries of things like underfloor heating and a Nespresso machine, but lo and behold you've got it at Dentdale. We packed thick pyjamas and cosy socks but if anything I had to open the windows because it was so toasty! Wilma, our vizsla, had zero complaints and curled up on the floor within minutes of arriving! Emily and Mark are the perfect people to be running a place like this. They are so incredibly kind and their attention to detail and thoughtfulness blew us away!! It's fair to say, I had the most wonderful birthday weekend and we will certainly be back soon :-)

Clean, cosy and with fantastic views! Hot water was temperamental at times, however it was not much of an issue.

This is the perfect base for exploring both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District National Park whether on two-wheel, on foot or by car.
Why not take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge, take in the scenery at the famous Ruskin's View or go for a jaunt along the Dales Way.
